"Astrid?!"

Blade stared with wide eyes at the two ladies standing close to the throne as they held each other and gazed back at him.

While the older one looked at him with hesitation and a certain sadness, the other, Astrid smiled brightly, giving him a wink.

"She approved," Astrid informed him through her mind connection.

Whether or not he heard her she decided to show it through her smiles instead. Luckily, he did and he responded back to her.

"I am glad, my love. I thought something bad was going to happen."

"Yeah, but nothing happened."

Both Blade and Isadora had their eyes wide open when they heard her speak.

At one end, she had not intended to say those words out loud but she did because of how happy she was.

Smiling sheepishly at her mother, she shrugged. "Nothing, mum."

She peeled her gaze over to him and beckoned to him. "Blade, come over please."
