After what seemed like forever, it finally swallowed up all she gave and the skies became clear in a jiffy.

"Phew!"

Closing her eyes temporarily, Astrid felt her heartbeat starting to calm down. It was one heck of a battle. 

The whole scenario had given her a glimpse of how war might be like but she knew that was going to be a different thing entirely.

While she deliberated on the inevitable, she suddenly heard a loud uproar of noise coming from below.

Instantly, her eyes flew open and she moved downwards a bit. Her senses had been highly activated. 

Just now she thought they were being attacked or affected by the fight but when she took a closer look, she noticed that it was just them in their jubilation phase.

Her lips pulled back into a lovely smile. They were busy cheering, jubilating and hugging one another.
