The fire burned around her for a while and soon she began to feel something ignite inside her. Almost as though it was burning in her.

Just about the same time, Astrid looked down and saw that the markings on the ground had a trail that led to where she stood.

Shocked, she tried to take a step back and found out that her feet were stuck and she could not move.

Her heart had begun to race and she could feel the heat rushing up to her skin. She moved and moved but nothing, her feet won't budge away.

Just when she was about to scream, she heard the same calm voice in her mind. 'Calm down, calm down. It won't hurt you," her power's consciousness reminded her.

"It won't. It is a part of the ritual and it is needed. You need to awaken to your full potential."

As the voice said that, she somehow managed to control her fear and the fire raged within to bursts out.
