CHAPTER 425

Taking a deep breath, Astrid undid the spell and swam forward till she was considerable feet away from her mother's prison.

Her eyes shone in the water as her mind and heart hoped and could barely wait. This was it, this was her before the one creature her soul had longed to see.

Isadora took in a deep breath and opened her eyes while allowing the water to move her body forward till she was by the prison bars again.

A small smile spread on her lips further making her so enchanting than before. For Astrid that was a damsel worthy to be beheld but hidden behind that smile, she could see the cringe and forceful brink of tears in her mother's eyes.

It took some time but eventually, she voiced out the one word Isadora had wished to hear for years to come.

"Mother." 

"Say that again, please." Isadora's calm voice came in a whisper.
