Meanwhile, as soon as the meeting ended, Blade wasted no time in rushing straight to the dungeon. He did not want to believe it but he just could not help himself from asking.

Soon he found himself standing before her prison bars, his eyes still seething with pain and rage.

"Why? Why did you hide it from me?" Blade asked the moment he laid eyes on her.

Astrid turned her head and her eyes locked with his. For a minute there she was confused by what she saw and she felt bad seeing him like that but she shook her head, ridding her thoughts with such emotions.

Slowly and for the first time that day, she stood up from her bed at the side and staggered, making her way to the centre of the room so she could stand face to face with him.

"Excuse me?"

"Why?" His voice broke as he stared into her confused eyes. "Why hide it and lie?"
