Capítulo 2: Act 1-2 Mobius
Three months ago
Cut to Mushroom Hill Zone. We hear crazy ramblings from a bald man with an insanely long moustache. He seems to be working maniacly on a ring-like device made of mushroom skins and pieces of steel. A medium-sized green bot with drills for hands and treadmills for feet appears on screen. It drops a box of metal, since he doesn't have hands to truly grab it, which annoys Robotnik.
Robotnik: "You imbecile, useless, piece of scrap metal! This is why it's taking us so long. At this rate…", Robitnik looks down at several stripes drawn in the dirt. He begins counting them only to then say. "We will only be home the day after Christmas! You know how late that is, Grinder?"
Grinder: "I know sir."
Robotnik proceeds to kick the robot, breaking it apart due to its fragility. He starts complaining about his foot, but then shakes it off. He goes back to the ring-like structure.
Robotnik: "I'm so close, too close! Maybe I think that because I've had an only mushroom diet, and haven't ascertain if they are alucinogenic or not. Because of you, Scratch!", We then see Robotnik put on a chicken's quill on his head.
Insane Robotnik: "I'm sorry sir, but it's not so simple."
Robotnik without the quill: "Maybe not for you, but for an unmatched genius like mine it's very simple. It's…", Robotnik realizes he doesn't know. "Arrghh! If only I could go to that hedgehog's home and rip it apart!", He kicks the ring structure, complaining again about his foot, only this time sparks and beams begin to shoot out from the structure. A portal opens inside, Robotnik smiles, patting off the dust from his pilot suit.
Robotnik: "Hmm, there was never any doubt I'd make it out of here. Even after all your erroneous judgement, Grinder!", The robot is still broken in pieces, but is capable of repeating the phrase. "I know, sir. I know, sir. I know, siiiiirrrr.", It then shuts down completely.
Robotnik enters the ring portal, however instead of reaching Earth, like he expected to, he reaches Mobius. He thinks to himself:
Robotnik: "This is not Earth. This is not Earth at all! You useless trash badnik, you…", Robotnik looks back to see he is alone. He begins analysing the situation. "When that darned hedgehog used the rings, he tended to say something. Maybe you have to say the coordinates before entering it. Going by that logic…", Robotnik looks up, with a malicious smile he shouts. "THIS IS HIS HOME! I will burn this world to cinders, and then once its done, I will take that stupid hedgehog here, so he can see it burn. You will pay Sonic, you will…"
Before he could finish his thinking, a rope arrow was shot at him, enveloping him in rope. Stuck with no way to run, he begins trying to shake himself off to no avail. Several Echidnas get to him.
Robotnik: "You think a mere rope can emprision my genius, you're very wrong you…", The echidna punches him in the face, knocking him out.
He wakes up somewhere else, in the middle of what seems like mayan monuments covered in jungle. In front of him are a flight of stairs, with small pond on its side, and at the top a shrine where an enormous grey emerald lies. Robotnik looks underneath him, and sees a large circle, like an arena of sorts, as he's surrounded by a bunch of echidnas with arrows aimed at him. Right in front of him is a pure red echidna with a bone mask, and stone, spiky gloves. He comments:
Echidna leader: "This is the ugliest creature we've found yet. What is he?"
Echdina 1: "He came out of a ring like portal."
Echidna leader: "He has rings with him?", Robotnik shakes his head, grunting.
Robotnik: "You imbecile ant eaters really don't pull your punches.", The Echidna leader approaches the fallen Robotnik.
Echidna leader: "Who are you and how did you get a hold of the rings?", Robotnik smirks.
Robotnik: "I didn't need one of your pointless rings to get here. I built one myself.", The Echidnas all look shocked.
Rambilngs are heard here and there. The leader once again speaks.
Echdina leader: "Build us one, and we may let you keep your life."
Robotnik: "Why would I build something for someone else?", He gets up. Every archer around him pulls the strings of their bows. "You're the ones who will build another one for me. You should be honored to work under the mighty Robotnik.", The leader raises his fist against him.
Echidna leader: "Why would we work for you?"
Robotnik: "Because it took me months to build one on my own with nothing but mushrooms and dirt. With all of you, I can finish one by today. And also from the worried looks you've been giving to the top of that shrine, you don't have a lot of time.", For the first time in this conversation the echidnas seem worried. It's clear Robotnik is ruling over this discussion. "I'm going to need you to gather materials, and give me some of your quills. As powerful as that dreaded hedgehog's quills were, one won't be enough for what I have planned.", The echidna leader grunts.
Echidna leader: "Hedgehog?"
Robotnik: "Yes, your compatriot or whatever stupid name you'd like to call him. Once I've prepared here, I will go hunt Sonic down.", Hearing these words, the rest of the echidnas look at their leader, who waves his hand downward.
All the archers drop their bows, as the leader takes out his helmet showing his red skin. He begins kneeling down, as all the others follow suit. He looks up at Robotnik saying:
Echidna leader: "I am Knuckles, leader of the Echdina clan. It seems our objectives coalign, so me and my fellow clansmen will assist you in anything you need."
Robotnik seems to not care about his surroundings. He quickly puts his hand on Knuckles taking out a quill. Knuckles tries to argue, but once he sees Robotnik taking out a machine from his pocket he stops. Robotnik connects two wires to the quill, and analyses it, however he seems displeased.
Robotnik: "1.2 Terawatts? That's not even close to what Sonic could put out. This will be tougher than imagined, but not impossible to manage. Be of use to your master and go hunt some animals for me."
Knuckles: "You are not our master!"
Robotnik: "I am until I no longer need you. Plus I suggest you don't challenge me too much.", Robotnik presses his forehead against Knuckles'. "If you so much as hurt me, I will run away through a portal, and you will be back to square one, while I kill Sonic with my own robot's hands. So stay put, and do what I say. Go hunt those animals, and bring me steel and rope. It might take me around three hours to analyse the components from this world, but... wait, I don't have my nuclear analyser! Then it will take four hours!", He looks down, seeing the confused Knuckles. "You're still here. Go fetch me what I asked of you!"
Knuckles grunts, telling him.
Knuckles: "I am the protector of the Master Emerald. I shall not leave its side no matter the situation."
As most of the Echidnas leave the place, Robotnik takes interest at the top of the shrine. A green light coming from it distracts his vision.
Robotnik: "Is that what you worship? How pathetic. The only gods that exist in this world are the ones that stand above others, in intelligence and power. I'm the one who should be worshipped."
He decides to go investigate. He climbs the stairs and reaches the top, where an enormous grey emerald lies, however a small glimmer of green shines at its core.
Robotnik: "What is this? Some idiotic gem these primal ant eaters worship as a god? Let's see how powerful you really are.", Robotnik connects the wires to the emerald, immediatelly shortcutting it. Robotnik drops the charred device, surprised by the result, a malicious smile appears on his face. Knuckles explains:
Knuckles: "The Master Emerald is strong, at one point in time, strong enough to raise this land up on the sky... but its power isn't infinite. It requires the aid of seven other gems to go back to its former glory, and even then that may not be enough."
Robotnik: "Where are you getting at? I hate it when others dwindle around the subject like they have all the time in the world. Get to the point!", Knuckles pointed to Robotnik's side.
A tablet of stone resides there, with clear scriptures on it. It says "Only those pure of heart and soul, may return the god back to its whole.", Knuckles explains:
Knuckles: "As much as it pains me to admit, none of my clan were pure hearted enough to do so. We've collected one of those emeralds, and yet, as much as I try, I am uncapable of transferring the power. However we know one who can."
Robotnik: "Sonic. And me thinking you guys were merely racist. Fine, I promise to capture him and power up this emerald. Its properties interest me. But we will need those emeralds of chaotic power as well. You said you have one, correct?"
Knuckles: "Yes, it took us decades to find it. I wasn't even alive when it happened."
Robotnik: "Well, you're in luck. Because I'm going to turn those decades into mere days, no, hours!", Knuckles looks at the doctor in awe.
Robotnik starts going down the stairs, smirking:
Robotnik: "But first, I'm going to catch that damned hedgehog!"
