Capítulo 14: Chocolate Icecream (edited)

I went to the playground there was fresh new grass surrounding the playground and benches for relaxing.

I sighed.

Here I am.

In a boy's school.

I sat on one of the benches and got my mobile out. This should be a good time to call my mum.

"Hello?" A voice said.

"Is this Mum?" I said, making sure it's not one of her friends like before.

"CeCe! You finally called. I couldn't get hold of your number. How are you, sweetheart?" She said, sounding happy. Well, I guess she wasn't worried.

"I'm doing fine. Just hanging around. In a boy's school." I said speaking the last sentence a little loudly. She sighed.

"I'm sorry CeCe, I didn't mean to-" she was going to continue but I interrupted her.

"It's fine. I'm doing okay." I said. I didn't want to hear it before I get madder. "So how's everything going over there?"

"Nothing much. I just got my nails done because I'm going out for a drink with my friends." She said normally.

I smiled.

That was what I said a few weeks ago. It seems weird when my mum says it.

"Okay. That's great. My dad is nice and he's-" I was interrupted by mum.

"Sorry CeCe, I have to go." My mum said out of nowhere.

For some reason, I felt that she just said that to avoid the conversation. Why?

"But Mum-"

"Sorry, I'll talk to you later. Call me okay? My friends are here. Take care in school and don't get in trouble or I will come there. Byeee." She said before hanging up.

How could she?

I was talking to her.

Oh, Man! She hasn't changed at all.

The same old annoying mum.

"Hey!!" I looked up to see Hans in his uniform. Wow, he looked great.

I thought the uniform made everyone look like a robot, but nope.

Not everyone.

I gave a big smile.

"Hans, I was wondering since morning where would I find you," I said while smiling slightly.

"Yeah, I was kind of late. My cousin was still asleep. You know how long it takes to wake him up?" He said, his Scottish accent making him sound awesome.

His hands were behind his back. It took me a while to notice that he was hiding something behind his back. Well, I become kind of dumb in such cases.

"What's that? What are you hiding?" I pointed towards his back. He gave a big smile.

"Well, I heard you on an opening day. You were rambling about how much you love chocolate ice cream so..." He showed me a delicious looking, almighty, my favorite chocolate icecream cone.

I smiled with delight and hunger.

"Hans, you are the best!" I took the icecream from him and gave him a big hug.

"I know. You looked really sad when you found out about this school so I just got you this from the school kitchen. But I better be going. What lesson do you have next?" he asked while staring in my eyes.

I grinned happily. "Firstly, you have icecream in the school kitchen? Are you kidding me?" I said, making him gobsmacked. He laughed after a while and nodded.

"And I've got Maths." I added.

"With Miss Lisa?" He asked. I nodded.

"That's great! I mean, I've got Maths with her too. I'll see you then." He said. I waved before he left towards one of the doors.

I sighed.

It surely wasn't going to be that bad.
