The fact they had just moved again do to being pressed out by something new moving in, and having to run away from that act. His body though, was surrounded by his pack reassured him that they were in a safe area. Azure and Lapis were energetic, they had more then enough, being carried and having plenty of time to sleep, they now were sniffing around the tree, trying to figure out what had happened.
He smiles and pushes off Nadia's head off of his body and lifting himself over his mother, She was slowly getting the same size, his nose twitches, it felt like they were in a sterile environment. It was like the only scents that they had, were hidden in their own bodies, having brought it with into this area. The area seemed like they were in a dome, wrapped over heads, it looks like roots were above them.
It was a strange feeling, seeing in darkness, and knowing that it wasn't right, depth was a strange concept even more, black on black made things seem like they were painted on in the area. He can feel the gaze of his mother on him, not worried about the strange area that they had fallen into.
"I am going to see whether this area stops us from moving in other ways." He says, letting his mom know about his thoughts on astral projecting himself.
Syren nods, "Don't worry, I will be right here. It will make sure that I will be able to keep up communicating here. I'm sure you realized, but the reason we couldn't project when my friend and I went close to a city, we weren't strong enough. Most psywolves," She says with some amusement, knowing it was her son deciding the name, "do not try to grow that strong, it requires you to be an omega, or an alpha."
The little description had cleared up the little strange fact that they hadn't tried to look like that. Then again, he was sure there might have been psychics. "I'm sure that it still wouldn't have been safe that way either. You wouldn't have been safe either way." Knowing their bodies would have been left unprotected.
He takes a moment to clear his mother's worry. It wasn't hard to quickly skip out of his body, he hadn't even laid down, looking at himself from out of his body, it was a strange feeling, he still did appreciate his body, chuckling a little at the fact that the most happiness was that he could see he was a male. He takes that time to clear his head now and pull himself towards where he really should be focusing, and not focusing on his little friend.
Being out of his body, it seems like the roots that he had seen before, were not a bit more defined, taking his time to approach a root, he slowly sniffs against it, his body seems to be sucked in and sent to another area. "Are you okay?" Was quickly sent by Syren.
He nods his head, knowing she could feel the motion even if he doesn't send it, "Yeah, seems like I am in another area, looks the same." He says trying to find a defining structure, only a strange little thing with the roots had changed a little. But there was no way to tell if one would lead back, or if it would change his locations again. He decides to ignore it for now. Moving himself along the dome, he could vaguely tell where a passage seems to stand, it almost seems to be painted on.
He moves to press his nose against this very simply designed opening, nothing was held to block him in, just the darkness was to keep him from trying to escape. This press of his nose was like he tried to run into a wall, smacking his face against it. It almost made him think he didn't trigger it. He sits down in front of this gate, staring at it.
He moves his paw to press against it, trying to see how solid it actually is. For a moment, it feels like his foot was pressing against the dirt. The paw feels like he was pressing against the dirt. His mind thinking of any possible ways he could do this, the next idea, he starts to press out that energy that was hidden inside of his body, some distance away. It makes the dirt seem to turn to liquid, starting to pull him away.
The change this time was like the teleporting back to his body, but with less seen, and yet, somehow still aware around him. It wasn't the lovecraftian tentacle horrors, or mind destroying demons, but something vast, something that didn't care if everything that he personally knew died, or if everything he knew became immortal, it's existence would be there, hidden between the cracks of the darkness of the world and the light.
It was a strange sense about it, not even letting him realize that he had arrived in the forest again, trying to comprehend. Somehow, it felt like the thing's existence, was both necessary, yet needless. It turned his mind to philosophy for a second, but with the light, it seems to break those changes off. Strangely enough, he knew this information would never be shared, but he would remember it forever. "Keep your eyes closed if you press against the gate." He tells his mother, walking around the tree that he is at. A sense of where his body is, he almost couldn't tell where it was hidden away.
Syren sends a little worry, "What happened?" The fact that she had to actually ask, made it all the scarier.
He shakes his head, "Don't ask, speaking of it isn't good, it won't let me either way." His mother's confusion at that comment was the strangest thing. But he couldn't help her, and she couldn't find out.
He points himself towards where the road is, and decides to head toward it. The time to travel towards the road was longer, it felt like his body was a bit of a distance away from him still. Actually, he couldn't really decide which direction he had planned to head towards. His sense of direction had been lost for a moment, before his head raised towards the heavens to watch over the sky to decide.
The sun was pretty high in the sky, but enough that it felt like it was falling, still making him wonder as to what the sun did when it falls behind the 'horizon'. Still having no idea if there might be an actual limit to the planes size.
He was soon looking over the road, if you could call it that, again. There was now a work team on it, there wasn't much for stumps in the way, but they had been sliced through, just like bushes and grasses.
The teams were pulling up stumps and root systems, making it obvious, they planned to set up a full path through here. It made him think, what caused them to make a new home out here.
For the next hour, after assuring his mother that he was safe, he stares at the path that was slowly forming. Chains were first wrapped around the stump, and then both ends are grabbed by different men, and pulled out, working hard as a team of horses.
Though he did see some stumps unable to be pulled, were marked by the pair. Even though most of the stumps had an obvious destruction to their stumps. And that is what he did for an hour, just watching and examining them.
