Capítulo 123: Hua talks
Chen looked at her watch and said, "It's almost 4 p.m. The boys will be here soon."
Xi Hua nodded and said, "I'm actually really thankful to all of you. You all have been there for me all this time."
Yu Chen: "Look at you, why are you suddenly talking like an old woman. Of course we are here for you, we will always be there for you."
Xi Hua began to speak, "I....I..."
But Yu Chen cut her off, "And I expect you to do the same. If you don't....let's just say.... you're going to be in a worst condition than you are now."
Xi Hua cracked up. She said, "You sure know how to ruin emotional moments."
Yu Chen smiled awkwardly. Yes, she was not one to have a heart-to-heart. She was one of those people who felt embarrassed talking about their feelings. But that did not mean she did not care about the ones close to her. Chen was willing to swim across an ocean for her friends and family. But when she would get out, all she would say, would be, "You were thr one who put all that salt in the water to irritate me. I'll get you." That was the kind of person she was.
Xi Hua shook her head and said, "Anyway, I wanted to tell you something."
Yu Chen: "You're finally ready to accept your feelings for Zenghai....About time."
Xi Hua: "Chen, shut your trap. Otherwise I cannot guarantee that you will leave this room alive."
Yu Chen laughed, "Now you know what it feels like when you keep teasing me."
Xi Hua shrugged, "I'm not gonna stop. Anyway, I wanted to tell you about what was written on the note."
Yu Chen: "Hua, we don't need to necessarily tall about it. We all decided that it was some crazy dude's doing and we don't need an explanation from you."
Xi Hua: "But I want to tell you."
Yu Chen put her hand on Hua's cheek and said, "I'm always here. Speak, whatever you want."
Xi Hua held Chen's hand with her free hand and began, "The secret that my family's been keeping, is..... Han."
Yu Chen: "Han's no secret. You couldn't keep him a secret even if you wanted to."
Xi Hua rolled her eyes, "Shut up. Actually, Han us not my biological brother."
Yu Chen was shocked and held onto Hua's hand more tightly as she continued, "My father had always wanted a boy. When mom was pregnant with me, they somehow read the ultrasound wrong and thought that it was a boy. But when I was born...."
Hua's hand trembled and Chen looked at her worriedly, "You don't need to continue."
Xi Hua shook her head. She said, "Well, needless to say, my father was very disappointed. And the worst thing was...." Tears started to fall from Hua's eyes. Chen got up to get her a glass of water but she refused.
Hua took some deep breaths and continued, staring at the ceiling, "My mother was rendered unable to conceive anymore."
Yu Chen sat there looking at Hua. Hua gave her a weak smile and said, "My father's always blamed me for it."
