A few years passed
Due to him being constantly oppressed Vlad spends most his time at home doing Alchemy as recently he has recently taken the hobby of creating beautiful swords and armour (not impractical fantasy swords with funny proportions and ridiculous hand guards)
Vlad has seen the armoury on Dresden in his past life and he has been fascinated at how the pinnacle of European craftsmanship can really be!
He has also experimented on different materials such as gold, silver, aluminium, titanium, tungsten and so on...
Vlad is quite proud of his works but amongst all his works, he considers what he dubbed the "Epic" series to be his most proudest works, for you see the "Epic" series are a series of weapons that has a titanium core with tungsten carbide edge, which according to a certain sword expert in his past life is the ultimate sword possible with modern material science.
Not only is it more resistant to rust, has a harder edge (tungsten carbide part), more flexible (titanium part ) and not to mention it's coloured blue (titanium's colour can change) which makes it quite fancy.
Naturally, Vlad isn't going to show off his prized sword as he isn't stupid enough to wantonly gather attention for no particular reason.
Vlad looks at the Epic series neatly arranged before as he stares at them with great fascination.
'They look quite beautiful as if they're made of a metallic blue crystal.' He thought as he picks up a bastard sword and swings it around, he had wanted to pickup the great sword or even a long sword but unfortunately he's still a kid and so it's too long for him.
Vlad then walks over to a large mirror and did a few guard posses such as the wrath guard, roof guard, ox guard and the tail guard.
'Hmm... not bad, not bad at all' Vlad looks at himself in the mirror admiringly as it seems that his "cultivation" is starting to show great changes in his body as his face is getting more handsomer lately and is starting to have an angelic feel to them.
He did a few more swings as he finishes admiring himself, it's after all one of the few things he can enjoy right before he start putting his blades back into his storage ring.
As he's doing that however he accidentally takes out a Chinese Jian (劍=sword), Vlad stares at the blade as he glances at it, giving it a few twirls before placing it back in the ring.
"Useless crap" Vlad snorted as in his opinion the Jian is a crappy sword.
It doesn't have a hand guard for one which means your hand is exposed and can be chopped off as compared to a European swords with large protective hand guards, second the blade is too thin and light which means that it has less power in its strikes and prone to break.
After that Vlad puts on his disguise and heads out to run a few errands.
Vlad naturally heads to a familiar whom he has regular dealings, these pass few years he has been regularly coming a particular to trade his gems into money.
"Ah little De you finally decided to pay this big sister a visit?" the female shop keeper said.
De? Obvious Vlad can't use Feng Jin so he needed to create an alias, for now the woman knew him as Hua Li De（鏵立德）he came up with it by vaguely basing in his previous life's name when translated Fu Li De (VLAD=弗拉德)
Fu Li De sounds strange for a name in this world so he messed with it for a bit before coming with his current name which also has a meaning, 立 means stand and 德 means morals. Vlad felt a little mischievous when he was thinking of a surname and added Jin (金）to the Hua (華) while it still sounds the same.
So his name basically means stand on morals, by the way 華 means flowers in ancient Chinese as a pretty boy like him obviously deserve a flower in his name.
Nothing like a little bit of narcissism to cheer himself up from his crappy life, and it's not gay to have flowers in your name ok! The japs has Sakura in their names so it isn't gay at all. Not to mention it's quite a common practice for ancient Chinese and Japanese to add flowers in their name.
"Big sister Xia I came again to trade for the gemstones you love so much" Vlad said as he hands off an emerald gemstone to her.
She examines the stone before saying "the quality is as great as always"
"So have the stuff I have asked for arrived yet?" Vlad asked as previously knowing that she has certain connections he had asked her to find a list of ores along with their description, Vlad obviously going to use them for alchemy.
The lady shop keeper or sister Xia as Vlad came to know her frowns before saying "I have certainly put a word out but we've been only able to find a few of them in the list you gave me"
She then stared into Vlad intently as she asked "why are you even trying to do spending so much trying to find those useless thing? With the amount of money you spent you could have bought large amounts pills and elixirs and still have enough left for a unique martial arts technique"
Vlad smiles as he reply "now now big sister Xia you should know better than to ask about others dao path."
Sister Xia seemed irritated by Vlad's reply and didn't press further, the only thing she knows this cheeky little fellow is that he seems to be a disciple of an eccentric alchemist with a wired temperament.
It baffles her though that in these last few years that despite a disciple of an alchemist, he has ever asked for to find any medical herbs at all instead he only ever asked is to find is a bunch of seemingly useless rocks.
Xia Chung Hua examines the rocks Vlad has requested trying to find what use these seemingly rare but ordinary rocks are used for but fails to find any use for them.
If she hadn't known any better she might even suspect that the Vlad's teacher might be a cook but obviously not just any old man in the street could consistently produce such high class gems.
'Hmm... he must be practicing some strange cultivation technique' she thought as has heard heard some of the bizarre cultivation techniques such as the "sunflower manual" and so on, obviously she doesn't think that Vlad is practicing the sunflower manual as there're countless cultivation techniques out there.
Vlad then cheeks the goods before stuffing them into his inter special ring, he said good his goodbyes before heading out the store.
As he's out side he might as well grab a bite at a restaurant before heading to the market to restock up on his food supply.
He heads to a restaurant to grab a bite, but as he was eating his BBQ pork rice (chasiu faan, 叉燒飯)
