Capítulo 11: Roof Top
From the roof you could see everything. The entire campus and it was so quiet, the roof had high fencing on top of the ledge that can to about my shoulders. The fencing was easily went 7 feet above the concrete ledge, nobody was falling off the rope if the building for sure. There was a set of stairs on the roof that took you up even higher there was a roof over the top of it but it looked as if the structure, it was basically a screened in gazebo. There was what looked to be fairy lights strung across the beams in the ceiling. There was also a bar area in it with 6 high top seats running along on side of it and the other side there was a sink and cabinets and a min fridge and a freezer along with a microwave and a popcorn machine and a grill and stove. The there was a small gas fire pit. With glass rocks around the top where the fire would burn once it was started. There was cushioned patio furniture around the fire place, two chairs and two 3 cushioned couches. Then there was a small table with 6 chairs around it. It was beautiful and I was surprised that I had never notice this at the top of the school before.
"We can do our work up here this weekend that way we don't have to leave campus. Do you want anything to eat or drink?"
"Can I have some water, please."
"Yeah." Hunter got into the fridge and pull out a water and a some pop for himself. And then brought it over to the table where I was sitting. I noticed each cake around the table and at the bar had a symbol on it, there was a kings crow and a queens crown, then there was an A with all the the King and Queens symbol inside it. Then there was a chair with the spades symbol engraved with it along with one that had the Jacks symbol which was two swords crossing then one which is a hate with bells on it, like people would imagine a jester would of worn. Finally there was a chair for with the symbol for spades on it. It was that way with the chairs at the bar as well. I asked hunter "why is there a chair with every royals symbol in it other than the 10?"
"The 10 is considered a royal but a while back before even the current king came here the 10 betrayed the royals and tried to lead an uprising. The 10 is the weakest royal but after the betrayal we no long have a seat for the 10 as we don't want whoever is the 10 in on our business and the 10 isn't very important so our school has never actually officially gave anyone the title since that happened." He explained.
"Oh I didn't know that. I guess I don't pay much attention to keeping up with the royals and the roles, as they seem to change every year."
"You should though how else would you know if who they are and who you need to watch out for, or the fact that our current king is graduating making me the king next year and the strongest guy in school." Hunt said cheerfully.
"I'm sure I'd hear you bragging about it or I'd here through others gossip or maybe the student newspaper." I said as We laughed and a smile came across my face.
"Hey, I don't brag about anything. I sometimes state facts but that's it." Hunter said and we both smiled and laughed some more. All I could think about though was his perfect smile and the sound of his laugh, and if only this could last forever. I know after the project is done though that's it and he'll probably never talk to me again because of how extremely different out ranks are and he won't ever need to talk me either. We started working on our project and marking our finally changes and adjustments. We spent the entire weekend up on the roof, we stayed the night up there and roasted marshmallows over the fire and spelt on the couches. We made waffles, bacon, and eggs for breakfast. Then made grilled cheese for lunch and chicken and Mac and cheese for dinner. We laughed and I felt like we were close. Like we were really friends and I could trust him. I felt this so strong and I told him about the call from my mom and about how I couldn't go home and how my family wouldn't let anyone use there abilities in the house even my uncle who is a mid-tier and his friend who is an elite would follow the rules and not use there abilities when they were with us. He also told me about his family and how he was trained as soon as his abilities started to show and that's all his family cared about is how strong he was, and about how he had to be the strongest that way he wasn't a disappointment to them, but even with being the best they still don't want him to come home and they don't want much of anything to do with him.
