Capítulo 80: Eye for an Eye

Warning: Mention of drugs, hints of sexual abuse, Kidnapping, & strong language

I felt like someone kicked me in the guts. I looked at him wide-eyed in disbelief. This guy, a member of the congress, a well-known television face, a politician, and a friend of Robbie's dad, he ordered my son's abduction?? Why?? Just because I fell on him!?

"I can see a lot of questions on your face," he chuckled again, "I am sure rather than answers to those questions, this is what you want to see," he said, pulling out his cell phone, tapping something on it quickly, and turning the screen towards me.

From this distance, I could see nothing. I left the headboard and dragged my feet to the end of the bed. As I reached close, I saw Twen on the screen.

"TWEN!!" I screamed and staggered towards the armchair, falling face forward on the floor.

I heard a creak as Mr. Olsen got up from the chair and walked towards me. I looked up, sitting on my knees. He held out the cell phone to my face, where I saw Twen sleeping on a bed. The room was dimly lit, but it was decorated pretty cozily. There were two men beside him dressed in some guard-like uniform. One of them was smoking, while the other was on his phone, leaning on the wall.

"TWEN!" I cried at the screen, lifting my hands to take the phone, but Mr. Olsen took it back. He walked to his armchair and placed it in his coat's pocket, "What have you done to him?" I asked, looking at him with both anger and panic.

"As of now," he said, half-turning from his chair and giving me a sinister smile, "NOTHING."

I couldn't believe him. Did he drug him too as he did me? He is just a child. The side effects are so strong on me then what effect would it have on Twen? I looked at him, a cold feeling of horror rising in my chest,

"You-you didn't drug him, did you?" I asked, scared to hear the answer

Mr. Olsen placed a hand on the chair's back and caressed his coat as if dusting it, and said with a casual shrug, "Well, a bit of chloroform."

I gasped. "CHLOROFORM???!!"

"Just for aesthetic purposes. The amount was too low to cause any dangerous effect. Maybe, just dizziness and nausea," he said, waving his hand as if it is no big deal.

"Why? Why are you doing this? Did Robbie's dad-" I asked, feeling my croaky voice strain.

"Ricardo?" Mr. Olsen interjected and gave a maniacal laugh, "That law-abiding a*'*hole doesn't have the stomach to do this! Well, he did ask me to deal with you, get you as far away from his son as possible. However, he chickened out when I wanted to involve your kid. What a pussy!!"

I clenched my fist. Damnit!! I forgot about the powers these Alphas hold and the extent they will go to satisfy their ego. How did Twen and I get involved in all this mess? How casually this man told me he used chloroform on Twen. That thing has severe side effects, that is why it is not used any longer. What if something happens to Twen? I looked at the floor, feeling my chest tighten.

"Why are you involving my son in this?" I mumbled, feeling cornered by a beast.

"An eye for an eye," Mr. Olsen said, turning to look at me, his eyes showing anger.

"What do you mean?" I asked, my voice breaking

"You see, in this world, I don't care about many things except my daughter, Sarah Olsen," he said, emphasizing her name.

My jaw dropped, and my senses froze. Sarah? Robbie's ex-fiancée? This was all because of my and Robbie's relationship then? I looked at Mr. Olsen, terror, clear in my eyes,

"You see, there is nothing in this world that she wanted, and I couldn't provide it. However, you took away something that had made my daughter's smile disappear. So, how could I have allowed you to keep smiling?" Mr. Olsen said, his eyes turning stony and his expression furious, "Since you hurt my daughter, isn't it only fair that I get your son?"

"NOOOO! Please NO!! I beg you," I said, almost groveling on the floor, "Don't hurt him. Please not him! He is only 7! He has got nothing to do with this! I beg you, please."

I heard his footsteps as he came to me, got down on one of his knees, and without warning, pulled my hair back with force. I groaned in pain. He held my chin and made me look at his eyes as he said,

"And what would you do in return for me listening to you?"

The pain in my head from both the drug and the pull of my hair was making me tear up. My voice trembled as I said,

"ANYTHING! I'll do anything. Just don't hurt him."

"Anything?" Mr. Olsen dragged the word, his eyes glowing with glee.

"Yes," I agreed.

He let go of my hair. I looked at the floor, feeling my heart beating in my mouth. I don't know what he is going to do now. I am so scared that my whole body is trembling. If he kills me or sends me out of this country, will Robbie and mom take care of Twen? I heard Mr. Olsen's footsteps and looked up. He walked straight and turned a corner. After a few minutes, he came back holding a few documents with him. He came straight to me and held the documents before my eyes,

"Wh-what are those?" I asked fearfully.

"It's a contract. You have to sign it," he said, swaying it in front of my eyes.

"What does it say?" I asked, afraid that it would have something that would harm Twen.

Mr. Olsen narrowed his eyes and spoke with cold indifference, "You talk too much!" he snorted, "it says that you will leave this state with your son and will never in any way contact or try to contact Mr. Robbie Walker ever again. You will break every relationship that you have with Robbie Walker, and no one shall ever know anything about what happened between you, your son, and him. You will not tell anyone where you are going or contact anyone here. The contract will be valid indefinitely, and if you don't follow it," he said, his face breaking into a malicious smile, "Your son will go to Robbie and his future wife, which is my daughter!!"

Fear ran down my spine on his words. Just a few months back, I met Robbie and had a taste of the life I have wanted to live. Just a few days back, Twen had known his father and grandmother and had been so happy. I made some wonderful friends and received their love and care that I never thought I would. It was all so beautiful and happy, just like a dream, but like all dreams, this too came to an end. I am sorry Robbie, I am sorry Fred, Tanya, Sam, Jenny...our relationship ends here. I felt the tears run down my cheek as I looked up at him, lips trembling as I said,

"I will sign it."

Mr. Olsen gave a wicked smile. "Excellent. The expenses for leaving the state and settling elsewhere will be taken care of by me. So, you don't have to worry about it!" Mr. Olsen said.

I nodded, looking at the floor, my tears staining my trouser. I wouldn't even get to say 'goodbye' to anyone. The images of everyone flashed in my mind, and the wonderful time I spent with them. I felt hollow inside. I wish this could be changed. I wanted so badly to turn the situation around. If only God would listen, but there is no God for Omegas.

"Please, can you give me a pen? I'll sign it," I said, my voice cracking.

"What's the hurry?" Mr. Olsen said, walking to the table and placing the documents there.

"Mr. Olsen, I would like this to be over fast," I said, sniffing, still staring at the floor, "I don't know how long I have been here; my friends and Robbie must be looking for me. So, before they rea-"

"This is not your regular place that can be located easily. You have been here for just over an hour. It would be a miracle if they reach here so fast," he said, snickering, "Why don't we have some fun till they figure out where you are?' Mr. Olsen said, his face showing an odd expression.

I felt something was not right. My instincts were screaming at me. What was he trying to say by 'have some fun'? Fun is the last thing on my mind right now. I heard Mr. Olsen's footsteps coming toward me. I looked up from the floor to find myself almost an inch from his trouser zipper. I blinked in utter shock as the meaning of his words suddenly became as clear as day. I looked up at his face in disbelief. Mr. Olsen's eyes were glowing with a sadistic delight. Slowly relishing each word, he said,

"I hope talking is not the only thing your mouth can do!"
