Capítulo 16: Chapter 16. Finals then Departure
I just finished the semi-finals in record time and it only took one shot. My opponents weapon was a drill that can become a gatling gun that had thrusters on it that allowed him to fly around while harnessed to it but he didn't design the controls well because all it took to send it haywire was a well place shot then he start flying out of control making him slam all over the arena. After his aura gauge hit red I fired another shot to free him from his weapon which in the end exploded and now that only leaves me and Pyrrha for the finals. Currently I'm going though all the food stalls because one of my goals is to at least try everything here once, as I wondered around I admired the gift Melanie gave me a simple sliver ring with tiger stripe engravings on my right middle finger. Then I heard the familiar voice of Pyrrha calling out.
Pyrrha: Silva wait up.
I stooped moving then waited for Pyrrha to catch up then when she did I smiled and said.
Silva: Hey Pyrrha just you and me left for the finals. I hope you come at me with everything you have and then some.
Pyrrha: Sure... But Silva can I ask you something?
My reply was.
Silva: Lets sit down somewhere first then you can ask me almost anything you want but I won't tell you how to beat me.
As I teased the red head I found a seafood bbq stall that I haven't eaten at yet we sat there and made our orders to the cook. Then Pyrrha asked what was on her mind.
Pyrrha: I heard you were a special seed from lower Mistral so I was wondering who taught you how to fight because all of your matches you beat all of your opponents in less then five minutes.
Silva: Well my adoptive mother teached me the basics but over all I'm mostly self taught because I hunted a lot of grimm to get experience.
Well not just grimm but robots and even other bandit tribes due to raiding rights or scavenging. After I left the Branwen tribe I fought even killed other bandits because a number of my future enemies are people not grimm or otherwise so I wanted the experience. The first time I killed a person I didn't feel anything which greatly disturbed me I hope that it's because the people I killed were bandits because if not I worry that I'm a sociopath or worse a psychopath. Well that is an issue that can be solved I hope but lets see if Pyrrha has anything else she wants to know.
Silva: Well Pyrrha is there anything else you wish to know?
The cook brought out my garlic butter shrimp and sweet heat merlin fish. While Pyrrha got smoked crab on a stick with a cream sauce then before she started to eat it she asked.
Pyrrha: Well I notice that you sometimes hang a round with some twins are they your girlfriends?
Silva: Yes they are, are you jealous of me or them Pyrrha because I would like to date you as well.
Just as Pyrrha ate the first couple of bites of her meal she started to choke from surprise which the cook gave her a cup of water, she quickly drunk it then replied with a blush.
Pyrrha: What..? But..? I...
Seeing Pyrrha unsure on how to respond I brazenly said.
Silva: Okay then how about this? If I win the finals you go on a date with me and if you win I will agree to any request you make within reason.
Pyrrha looked stunned at me as I finished my meal then forcibly shook her hand in agreement then payed for both our meals. I got up then left a very confuse girl behind me as I walked away, the reason I wish to beat Pyrrha is to not only get a date out of her but to leave a strong impression on her so that if I have advice for her she will listen and hopely not go off fighting a hopeless and pointless battle with Cinder. Well that is a bit of a stretch because I know how stubborn she can be and she believes in being a huntress though and though.
( The day of the Mistral regional cup finals)
Pyrrha stood before me with a javelin and dipylon-style shield, it looks like she hasn't forged Milo and Akouo yet. Before the match starts I asked.
Silva: So Pyrrha is the wager on or do you just want to fight?
Pyrrha blushing realizing what I was talking about asked.
Pyrrha: Didn't you say that the twins were your girlfriends what do they have to say about our wager?
Silva: Well I can tell you but I'm going to introduce you to them anyways so you can ask them yourself. Get ready Pyrrha because I want to see what your made of.
As I drew my sword for the first time in the tournament, Pyrrha placed her shield in front with her javelin ready to thrust at me.
Kurogane: Well ladies and gentlemen of Mistral this will be a finals to remember. On one side we have a dark horse from lower Mistral that has been winning his matches in record time. On the other side we have our untouchable student that has not taken a single hit in the tournament from Sanctum Academy and can you believe it that this is the first time both have competed in the regional cup. The match will start in t-minus 10 seconds... BEGIN!
At the signal I used my aura on my feet and legs to give me burst of speed ( which I call flash step) putting me on top of Pyrrha then using a over head slash. Pyrrha blocked it with her shield which was a mistake because I quickly followed up by channeling my aura though my sword then making it burst forth causing a small explosion on contact ( which I call sundering), this knocked back Pyrrha. Before Pyrrha got up I swung my sword at her while was still on the ground, she rolled away to evade my attack then she got up then charged at me with her shield held up at me. I planted my sword in the ground stopping her charge cold then I drew my gun and fired from behind my sword at her after the first two shots she backed off. As we started to circle each other with my gun holstered and sword held I was the first to move. I used flash steps again but this time Pyrrha dodged out of the way then made a stab with her javelin at my left flank, I grabbed her javelin with my left hand by the handle and pulled her toward me while swinging my sword at her.
She let go of her javelin then back flipped away from me and then drew a xiphos short sword from behind her. I tossed her javelin back at her then followed with firing my gun at her, she evaded the javelin and blocked my 4 shots with her shield. I then charged at her with flash step swinging my sword to her right side she used her Polarity to shift my sword trying to make me lose my balance as she parried it. I let go of my sword then used a low kick to knock her off balance, it succeeded then I threw a punch at her while crouching down she blocked it with her shield. I then used sundering on my fist to hit the shield as with Echo Tremor's sonar showed me the weakest point of her shield in order to break it. After three well place hits her shield shattered, Pyrrha had a shocked look on her face, I then swung my right fist in to her stomach sending her flying. I retrieved my sword then used flash steps to get to her, as I swung my sword Pyrrha pivoted to my right then hit me with multiple strikes with her xiphos.
I then tackled her pushing her away I followed though with filling my sword with my aura then releasing it in a slash at her ( which I call aura slash), the attack connected and sent her flying again. I reloaded my gun with explosive bullets then fired rabidly at her, she couldn't evade them and they all hit. Her red aura flickered telling me that I only needed one more good hit to win, I reloaded my gun but before I could fire my gun Pyrrha threw her xiphos at me. Her xiphos came flying she used her semblance to propel it at greater speeds making harder to dodge it knocked my gun out of my hand then she charged at me then picked up my gun and aimed it at me. Before she can even fire my gun at me I used Echo Tremor to send a shock wave at her taking out the last of her aura ending the match.
I guess I still need a lot more practice because I refrain from using my semblances for a couple of reasons. My glyphs will draw a lot of attention because for the most part they are unique to Schnees even if they exist out side of the family I can still be called a bastard Schnee or of distant relation with them and you don't hear a lot about that sort of thing for a good reason. Echo Tremor is a lot less dramatic because when I use it offensively my most fights tend to end too quickly for my liking and it can be highly lethal when I make edge weapons vibrate to cut though most things. I walked up to Pyrrha then offered my hand to her and she took it.
Kurogane: Ladies and gentle men we have a new champion SILVA CLOUD THE DARK HORSE FROM LOWER MISTRAL.
( Later outside of the arena)
As I walked outside with Pyrrha in tow I met up with Melanie and Miltia then said.
Silva: Hello Melanie, Miltia this is Pyrrha the girl I told you about and Pyrrha these are Melanie in the white and Miltia in the black.
Melanie had an appraising look directed towards Pyrrha then Miltia said.
Miltia: Silva can you leave us for the day so that we can get to know each other?
Silva: Okay but can you promise not to tear each to pieces for me.
Melanie: That depends on her.
As Melanie gestured towards Pyrrha who was looking nervous and I replied.
Silva: Melanie, Pyrrha is a nice girl so can you try to not kill each other for me please.
The twins just sighed then looked at each other and said to me together.
Melanie/Miltia: Your lucky we like you.
I nodded then walked off leaving the girls alone hoping to at least see them tolerate each other tomorrow.
( The next day)
As I got a call to meet the girls I can't help but feel nervous, well lets see the result of a day together brings. When I got to the meeting point in upper Mistral I spotted the girls I examined them and their all in one piece. Okay lets not get my hopes up till I talk to them, as I walk to them I asked.
Silva: So girls seeing that you are in one piece how was yesterday?
They looked at one another then started giggling which for some reason worries me then Pyrrha was the first to speak.
Pyrrha: Well for starter we agree that we like you, however while you do have a date with you didn't say anything about your leaving Mistral in a week to me.
Melanie: So before you leave you are going to take us all out on individual date and give us all gifts to remember you by.
Miltia: And it isn't going to be cheap.
Pyrrha/Melanie/Miltia: SO READY YOURSELF SILVA.
Well on the plus side my harem plan is off to a good start however what did I get myself into. Well I do have a small fortune from mining dust then selling it on the blackmarket so I'm not going to go broke from dating 3 lovely ladies... I hope.
