I'll make this chapter quick, because where going out of town tomorrow, which is in Baguio. Baguio is a place in Philippines where it is entitled "The Summer Capital of the Philippines". For the foreign readers, Philippines is known as a tropical country. We don't do snow here, because we are on the Pacific Ring of Fire. We only have two seasons: sunny and rainy. Sunny season dominates it all. I can't even feel rain that much, but when it rains, the Philippines goes destruction.
Baguio is the only place in Philippines which has a very unique climate: it's always cold. Whether sunny or rainy, you will surely freeze in Baguio. The origin for this is the geography of Baguio. Among the other cities, Baguio resides among the high grounds. This place is so strategic that you have to pass among all zigzags and ups and downs in order to reach this destination. We even hired a frickin' driver for this trip.
To conclude, I can't really stay up late to finish this story, because we will travel to Baguio at around 4 to 5 A.M, and it's so hard for me to go to Baguio with no sleep. I'll be going groggy throughout the trip. Well, I wanna sleep in the van, but it's difficult for me.
Right now, I've just finished setting up my OBS Studio. Man, I never knew that it was this tough. The good side is that I discovered StreamLabs, an improved version of OBS Studios. Man, this is way better than the old OBS.
I've been using OBS Studios when I was competing for our TV Broadcasting contest. Since I'm the technical in our team, I've been using OBS Studio to run our TV News program. For the foreign readers, I don't know if you have this type of contest, but here in the Philippines, every year, various campus journalists battle it all out for the annual National School Press Conference (NSPC). Before going NSPC, each schools must undergo contests within their division (DSPC - Division School Press Conference) and region (RSPC - Regional School Press Conference).
Our team were very strong, except for the me, the dude who was handling the OBS Studio. OBS Studio was so fucking laggy in our laptop. I did all my best: I lowered the settings, deleted large files on my PC, and fixed the overall settings of the OBS Studio, but nothing happened. It lagged overall. I was sad and frustrated that for a week, I locked myself up in the room, blaming for our loss in RSPC (we won in our division). I don't wanna remember that contest anymore, because it haunts me.
I know it's also my part that OBS Studio still fucking lagged after all the things I've fixed, but on that very day, I switched laptop. I used my team mate's laptop which was way faster than my laptop, but it still... FUCKING. LAGS. Oh my God! What is your problem, OBS Studio?? I fixed everything, and you still giving me some fucking lag?! What do you want me to do to stop this lag?? Gosh, I hate remembering that contest. It was the day that we lost due to technical difficulties. We have better news content and graphics than the others, but we didn't even made it to top 5. We accept that we lost that battle, but damn, we're not even in top 5.
The awarding was the most depressing day of my life. Your friends won and will go to Nationals, but I am here, learning physics. So for the readers who became part of my life, I'm sorry, we lost, because of me. It's our dream to go to Nationals and prove our school to be worthy of being the best campus journalists in the Philippines, but we fucking lost, because of the fucking lag. Shit.
Okay, I have to move on, because this story is way too long, and I'm rushing what I have to express.
If I had discovered OBS StreamLabs way too long ago before our RSPC, we would legit won, because Streamlabs was so smooth. I never realized it has the advanced settings that a video can fully function without lagging. It even optimizes your settings so that it will be ready for streaming. Man, StreamLabs also has easy access features which is specifically for streamers only. I never realized how is it easy to stream with this one. Dude, it even has themes and preset for streaming! Sorry guys, but I'm really fanboying over this app. Why did I just discovered this number 1 formula of streamers.
Because of this, I will start streaming soon when I have free time. I will play some games which my poor laptop can handle. No voice first (voice reveal at 100 subs). I just have this insecurity with my voice, because it is so deep that it sounds like an ogre.
Okay, so my time's running out. Sadly, I had to end this chapter now, because I still need these 8 hours of sleep. So good night, and I think I'll just write out my Baguio adventures.
