Capítulo 150: SHE HAD TO AGREE THAT THE MAN WAS WAY TOO HANDSOME
"I did write it in the contract." Came out his reply.
"But didn't I say that I wasn't okay with that clause?" Jennifer countered back.
"But I didn't agree with it. Did you forget you have signed the contract even if it is not a fair copy?"
Jennifer frowned. If this kept going on then how would she be able to separate from him earlier.
She also couldn't counter back. She had herself signed that copy and also she couldn't change anything now.
Just then the door bell rang. Emmett got up from the couch he was sitting to attend the person on the door.
Emmett opened the door and a man greeted him, "Good morning Mr.Tessier. I was sent by Mr.Travis to give you this file."
Emmett nodded and took the file from him. Closing the door, he went by to sit on the couch, which was opposite to the one on which Jennifer was sitting.
Emmett opened up the file to see the newly renewed contract, along with the old one.
Crossing his legs, Emmett sat leaned back on the couch as he went through the contract.
Meanwhile, Jennifer was silently observing him. His every move screamed about his upbringing. His moves were graceful and pleasing to the eyes.
She had to agree that the man was way too handsome.
But it was truly pity that he turned out to be a gay!
After reading through the whole contract, he put it on the table between them.
"This is the new contract and the clause you wanted are added to it. You may read it once again and then sign on it."
Jennifer who had been watching him since he left the room was actually curious about the contents in the file when she saw how seriously he was going through it. But she didn't voice it out.
After coming to know it was the contract, she was a little surprised. Didn't he asked his assistant to make the contract fair?
How come his assistant was able to do this job within a night when he had to travel back to Paris and then re-draft the contract?
What she didn't know was that the devil had ordered his assistant to send him the contract before ten in the morning and it was around nine o'clock now.
But she didn't question him and just took the contract.
Her eyebrows twitched when she read the second clause.
Why the hell had she signed when she hadn't even confirm what duties she would have to do?
Though the clause stated for her to perform duties of a girlfriend, it was also applicable for Emmett.
This was the last point in the contract.

Jennifer blew out the air which she felt she was holding back while reading the contract.
If one would read it carefully twice, then it didn't actually looked like a contract for girlfriend, it looked like it was specifically made for the slaves.
Alas, she didn't have a choice.
"Pen." She forwarded her hand.
There was a pen stand on the table which was near to Jennifer but she didn't take it and rather asked him to give her.
Emmett raised his eyebrows. The only girl who dared to order him like this was the one who was sitting in front of him having no intention of taking the pen herself.
She was clearly dissatisfied with the contract and was finding ways to punish him for that.
Smiling lightly, Emmett randomly took a pen from the stand and kept it on her outstretched hand.
