Compared with the missing DEA informant, Luke felt that he could take time out to have a look; even just watching the show would be fun.

Tracking them by their scents in the air, Luke ran swiftly and left the busy main street to enter a small, desolate lane.

The only light here was from the houses. Most of the lane was dark, and there was only one dusky street lamp in the distance.

Luke stopped at a corner and stuck out a mirror to look at the two people in the distance.
