Joseph's eyes lit up and he threw the book onto the couch before hugging the football. "Oh, it's beautiful."

Luke was amused. "A beautiful sorceress can't compare with a football? Watch out. You might not get a girlfriend in the future."

"I can find a girlfriend anytime. It's easy." Beyond this hurried reply, Joseph had no time to bother with Luke as he played with the football excitedly.

Half an hour later, the two still excited kids were summoned to dinner, but they looked upstairs every now and then.

Upstairs was where their new treasures were kept — in their bedrooms.

Sadly, it was too late in the day for Claire to show off her glamorous and fashionable watches to her friends, and Joseph couldn't play with the football outside either.

Catherine was the calmest of them all. When Claire babbled about Luke's gifts for her, she simply smiled and told her daughter to be careful not to spray the bread she was eating over the table.
