Capítulo 38: Chapter 37 - Marriage Ties
With little Nozomi telling the entire village about Ernie getting married, the date was basically set. The villagers all stopped what they were doing and rushed over to Ernie's place in hopes of seeing his wife.
Afterall, it's been years but none of them ever saw him hanging around a single female. He never tried to pursue anyone but there were a couple attempts towards him, which he rejected.
A man with messy brown hair knocked on Ernie's front door three times before entering. He was dressed in some loose brown colored clothing but could be considered handsome.
Seeing Ernie sitting with two beautiful women, he approved.
"Which one of these lovely young ladies has drawn your affection Ernie?"
Ernie shook his head and sighed.
Nozomi brought him trouble.
"Hina, Himari this is Saito Takahashi one of the close friends i've made over the years. Saito, these are my wives, Hina and Himari."
Ernie said as he introduced both the girls to his friend.
Saito was shocked when he heard that Ernie had two wives.
How was this possible? What woman would agree to have a sister wife? Where exactly could he find one?
"Hello."
Hina said with a slight bow of the head.
"Nice to meet ya."
Himari said.
Seeing the two girls and their actions, Saito felt his heart being crushed. They were perfect!
He swiftly glared at Ernie.
"What sort of spell did you place on them? I refuse to believe the two of them would agree to be sister wives!"
Ernie clicked his tongue.
"It just happened, there is a lot behind the story. Still, don't you have to worry about little Nozomi?"
Saito thought about it for a moment before shaking her head.
"She'll find her way to her mother. Tell me what you need, I will give you nothing but the best!"
Saito said as he patted his chest with his hand.
Ernie shook his hand.
"Nothing. I didn't want to make this a big thing…"
"Nonsense! Your wedding should be grand! The best of the best, when Aito got married the entire village came. Your wedding needs to top his."
Saito commented.
"You… yes, I can see it now. Pure white kimono with a flower pattern, and a beautiful floral crown to match your long silver hair."
Saito said as he zoomed around Himari checking her out from head to toe.
"As for you… add a white flower to show off your purity. As for the kimono one with pink lining shall do wonders!"
Next up was Hina, who Saito started talking to.
Ernie shook his head.
"Saito is a bit extra… but he means well. He is a talented ninja but he also makes clothes."
Saito grabbed both the girls arms and they stood up.
"Yes! Perfect proportions. Come with me to my shop, I will get to work right away."
Hina and Himari looked towards Ernie.
Ernie could only give them a weak smile. Now that things were out there, there was virtually nothing he could do. People wanted to help and he couldn't tell them all no.
Before Saito left, he turned towards Ernie.
"Come to my shop in two hours, you'll find a gift waiting."
With that Saito left with Hina and Himari.
After Saito left, Ernie had many more visitors. A lot of them asked him what sort of food should they prepare, what kind of decor would he like and other things. Ernie was pretty busy conversing with them all, and when he noticed it was three hours later.
He was late but it couldn't be helped. He went over to Saito's shop that was located in the center of the village, and there his wife gave him a black and white kimono. She told him it was what Saito prepared for him months ago in hopes for this day.
Looking around the village, Ernie saw people rushing here and there making the village look elegant.
Time just kept flying by, but the entire day Ernie felt useless. He felt like he should help but everyone told him no. He went to Aito's home only for Yui to tell him Aito was out finding him a gift.
He ended up spending a few hours with Yui talking to her and playing with her baby.
Before he knew it, it was already late into the night. The moon was full and shining brightly while the village had a large fire going.
Ernie was a bit nervous. Even though it was his second time getting married, he still couldn't get rid of his gitters.
Hina grabbed his right hand and squeezed it.
Her palms were a bit sweaty, Ernie looked at her and smiled. He couldn't be nervous, afterall he had two ladies depending on him for support.
Both her and Himari were wearing makeup and dressed wonderfully, he never knew people in the naruto world could be so beautiful.
Aito opened the front door and nodded his head.
Ernie was still curious to what his gift was, but he would see it soon.
"It's time."
Aito said as he kept the door open but went out.
Himari closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
Placing his hand on her shoulder, Ernie let her know he was right here by her side. She grabbed his left hand and together the three of them took the first steps towards the door.
