Capítulo 26: Chapter 25 - Showing off
Ernie grinned, it was his own thing something that more than likely did not exist in this world. But, that was the case with a lot of techniques. This was the era that started it all.
"Yes. I'll show you, follow me."
Ernie said as he got up and went out of the small stone hut.
Following close behind him was Hina and Himari.
Each of them had their own thoughts as to what this style was, it seemed to them like just a moment ago Ernie did not know what he wanted. If he already had a style in mind, why ask them?
The three of them went far away from the center of what would soon to be their village. When they were out of sight, Ernie looked at the two girls.
"First, technique in the Quicksword style, it's called Ascendance."
Ernie didn't need to learn anything, he already knew how to do everything. When he gained the memories and some skills from his past life they were transplanted in his head. How to move his chakra, what hand signs to use, everything he needed was already given to him.
Ernie's chakra went through his chakra channels, enhancing his body while causing a swirling blue glow to gently flow around him. The blue glow was his chakra and it seemed to be alive as it continued to pulse.
Seeing Ernie's chakra, the girls were shocked. They've never seen anything like this before.
"Ascendance allows the user to enhance their overall body capability, you don't need any sort of chakra nature in order to use it. However, without learning this you cannot use any of the other skills. All the other skills diverge from this, so remember that. Now watch me."
Ernie did a series of punches and kicks, nothing too special but everytime he made a move, a burst of chakra flew out.
"It sends a short, but powerful burst of chakra out causing more damage to your opponent."
The swirling blue chakra around Ernie became more powerful as it raised higher coming past his head. Now his entire body was covered by the swirling blue chakra that continued to pulse.
"Second move, Way of the Wind."
After Ernie spoke, his entire body seemed to vanish. He appeared behind Hina and Himari without them even noticing and tapped them on their shoulder. This caused Hina to jump.
"It takes Ascendance to the next level, allowing you to increase your body's speed. You're as light as a feather, but more like the wind."
"Way of the Wind has a second form called Gust, this one is a bit more complicated, which is why it's not the third technique. It allows you to dash to your opponent in an instant, almost like teleportation. There is no one here, but i'll show you on that rock over there."
Ernie said as he stood next to Himari.
There was no blur, or afterimage. One moment Ernie was next to Himari, the next he was at a rock a few meters away. It was less than a second, and neither of the girls could track him.
"After you two master those two techinque's i'll teach you Gust. Third move of the Quicksword style, Tempest."
Ernie swung his hand as if he was going to slap someone, but instead a small tornado moved forward. When he hit the rock, the rock flew into the air.
"It looks like wind, but its not. It's still just chakra, but it has a few additions we can talk about later. Also, the size can increase as long as you use more chakra."
"Fourth move, Spellblade."
Ernie's hand was covered in blue chakra and he sliced the air. Hina and Himari could see the air split for a moment, but they couldn't see anything else. It was like a wave appeared and vanished.
"This can be used mid or long range. It sends out a crescent arc of chakra towards your opponent."
Fifth move, Blessing. I won't show you, but I can tell you. It allows you to quickly heal your wounds, while it won't heal any major wounds, any minor ones will be easily dealt with."
Ernie told them.
"Sixth move, Judgement. It creates blades of chakra and causes them to fall in rapid succession in an area."
"Seventh move, Last Breath. This can be considered a forbidden technique, so I won't show you but I will tell you. You concentrate your chakra into your palm and it'll create a small shield around you, allowing you to absorb any attack. However, the person that attacks you becomes marked and you teleport to them sticking them in the heart, dealing ten times the amount of damage they would have dealt to you. So, if you hit someone with a kunai, then this move will make it feel like the power behind that one kunai feels like ten of them."
After Ernie finished explaining the moves in the Quicksword style, Hina and Himari were both silent.
Ernie smiled, they were stunned.
"Ernie…"
Himari said.
"Yes?"
"What about the fighting? How can that be effective, and why is it called Quicksword?"
Himari asked.
"Yeah, and what about those who don't use a sword?"
Hina added.
Ernie opened his mouth but nothing came out. It's true, not everyone used swords.
"Fine, whatever. We can change the name later, but i'm glad you asked that Himari. Now, remember what I said before that this is all chakra. While anyone can learn it, it's hard to master. However, if you do end up gaining insight into these techniques, you can transform them into more destructive moves."
Ernie said with a grin.
His hand became covered in Chakra once more, but this time it seemed like wind coated his hand.
"Spellblade in its basic form only shoots out chakra, but when you add in your own nature type, it transforms."
Ernie did a quick slash with his hand, and an arc of wind flew out crashing into the ground not far away. A large crease was made in the ground.
"It's not just wind, you can use other nature as well such as water, or ice."
Ernie said as he launched two more attacks, one as water and the other as ice.
"Different natures have different powers behind them. Wind is sharp, having the power to pierce, while water can weaken and ice can slow. The other variations are mostly the same, as when you add them to this style, they become stronger."
"I've never heard of this before. If this style can use every single nature type, then it will definitely become a top ranked technique. Most clans focus on using one nature type that a majority of their clansmen have, and create moves related to it. But ours, is so much better!"
Hina said with a smile.
Ernie nodded.
"Not just that, you can use this with virtually any kind of weapon. Be it sword, fan or bare handed."
Ernie thought about it, and decided that he wanted to use his attribute points. He currently had 25 points to use. He already knew what he was going to use it on.

He said yes to it and he felt this warm sensation on his eyes.
[Upgrade complete, user and all his descendants no longer have a strain on their eyes.]
Ernie sweated a little, if he never upgraded his Reitgan… didn't that mean he'd eventually go blind? Dangerous, very dangerous. He wondered what else would happen when he upgraded it, but the system told him he needed 40 attribute points to upgrade.
