Capítulo 97: Chapter 96: The undying prophecy of the witch

Gu Xiniang withdraw her weapon disappearing gradually from her hand like serrated peach blossoms caressed by the wind along with the ashes from Jiang Cuiyi's body. Those last words that she said before dying made it's way through her consciousness which made her feel guilty. "I have never heard words like those before on a person that knows that she's going to die."

Lu Jie then came barging inside the room but found noone but Gu Xiniang.

"Where is the imposter? Did you—"—Lu Jie

"Yes. She looked like she was internally suffering. She welcomed the blades from my divine weapon, it is strange."—Gu Xiniang

"It's not strange for her to do so... She is poisoned and is already dying."—Lu Jie

"She was poisoned? How dod you know?"—Gu Xiniang

"Earlier when Yingluo rescued her, I tested her blood with centipede of thousand screaming poisons. The centipede died immediately and that confirmed my speculation that a strong poison was inflicted inside her body."—Lu Jie

"What poison do you supposed that was? If the centipede of thousand screaming poisons died on the spot, then it maybe is a very potent poison that no mortal can withstand."—Gu Xiniang

"I only know a former goddess who can have such poison."—Lu Jie

Lightning flashed across the night sky sending thundering echoes throughout the horizon. Wan Miansu was awakened from her slumber as specks of ashes entered her chambers. Seeing the ashes, she realized that it was a morbid news. Holding the ashes in her hands, she screamed in anger.

"You dare fail me, Jiang Cuiyi!!!!!!"

At this time, Elder Fang barged inside Miansu's chambers stern look painted on his face.

"You failed, Wan Miansu! You said you will anhilate the mortal that absorbed Ji Mei's heart but it seems right now that you have failed miserably. You even lost your greatest ally."—Elder Fang

"What greatest ally? For me, Jiang Cuiyi is just a tool of my revenge. Ji Mei dare took the position of goddess of flowers from me when I was the one who is fit and deserving for that role!"—Wan Miansu

"Yet, you sent a phony mortal to go there and kill the almost-waking beast! I am so flattered by your way of thinking."—Elder Fang

"I never thought the heart was completely bonded with her! I never knew there is a mortal capable of such feat. You did not warn me about Gu Xiniang at all!"—Wan Miansu

"You overestimated yourself... Find a way to dispatch her..."—Elder Fang

A gust of cold wind blew inside the room and seconds passed, Elder Fang was gone. Wan Miansu clenched her fist and angrily rummaged through the books on the bookshelves beside her bed. At last, on the corner of a shelf, Miansu removed an old book and blew the dust on it's cover which revealed a crest of a dragon and a phoenix encircling each other.

She opened the book and turned over the pages. Then she stopped and read loudly...

"The prophecy of the witch Ning, will never be broken... The daughter of the dragon and the son of phoenix will slay each other on a crimson moonlit night. Yin and Yang will turn against each other and the castle of the first shura will rise from the sky."

She gave off a burst of laughter then closed the book with a devilish grin on her face.

"Oh, Old Jianghu your time of reckoning is coming..."

-------------------

A thunder rumbled across the sky which awakened Yingluo from her sleep. She pressed her nosebridge. Another bad dream bothered her peaceful sleep yet she managed to send off a smile as she saw Feixian sleeping soundly beside her.

She never wanted to wake up Feixian so she tried hard not to move an inch from where she was laying.

Feixian's arms became stiff so he decided to roll on another position revealing his back to Yingluo.

Yingluo was facing his back and decided to let down the loose clothing to reveal his bare back.

"This is—"

A voice resounded inside Yingluo's head the moment touched the mark engraved on Feixian's back.

"The prophecy of the witch Ning, will never be broken... The daughter of the dragon and the son of phoenix will slay each other on a crimson moonlit night. Yin and Yang will turn against each other and the castle of the first shura will rise from the sky."

These words kept repeating inside her head and feels like ripping apart so she sat on the bed holding her head. Feixian anxiously comforted her as she still held her aching head.

"No..... No!!!!" Yingluo yelled in terrible pain.

-------------------------

Liufang Asuro ascended back to the sark realm. He was then greeted by Ruomin. It has been many months when he didn't go back to the dark realm and fought Elder Fang for Xiniang's breakthrough being a goddess.

As he returned, he was bleeding profusely. Elder Fang might be old but he is very skillful. In terms of power, Asuro is overwhelming but in terms of skills, he can only amount to half of Elder Fang's skills.

He stuck his sword on the floor. His condition is not critical but very painful. Ruomin assisted him back inside the chambers of TaoYan city.

"Where have you been? Why are you covered in wounds? Where's Gu Xiniang? Wasn't she supposed to return with you?"—Hua Ruomin

Asuro cannot speak properly as his wounds continued to bleed.

"I—I have succeeded in making her a Goddess... For now, I must—re..."

Asuro didn't finish his words and fell unconscious.

"Lu XueCao!!! Help me!!!"

Ruomin shouted as Lu XueCao came running and they both carried Asuro and laid him on the bed.

"What do you think happened to master, mistress?"—Xuecao

"I don't know. But whatever it is, I think he fought a long hard fight with someone who is very skillful enough to damage him like this."—Ruomin

"Do you think it's someone from the ninth heaven?"—Xuecao

"Judging from the wounds, it is indeed some immortal from ninth heaven."—Ruomin

--------------------------

The sound of roosters broke the silence of the early morning. Feixian was bothered last night. He couldn't sleep back and watched over Yingluo until she fell back asleep again.

Thoughts flowed inside his mind so he decided to ask for guidance from someone who have knowledge over these things... Wei Yue.

As usual, Feixian found Wei Yue inside his study chamber reading books which curbed his ethusiasm.

"Your majesty...."—Feixian

"Gosh! Don't you know how to knock? You startled me!"—Wei Yue

"I want to ask you about something."—Feixian

"Hmm?"—Wei Yue

"Do you know what will happen to Yingluo and I in the future?"—Feixian
