Capítulo 15: Chapter 14: Yang Chi and Yin Chi
Emei, a renowned school of martial arts for women in old Jianghu has been found out of it's dark secret. Wei Yue and all of his friends spent time inside walls of Emei since they cannot depart because of a huge storm.
The thunder and rain growled at each other like measly predators among the sky and Luo Na is getting discomfort from this while General Hua stared amusingly into the dark horizon.
"Greetings, everyone. Since the storm has been ravaging, you are free to stay at our quarters."
Jue Chen, Emei's Grandmaster offered her gratitude upon them because of exposing the Quartermaster's evil doings.
"Grandmaster, If I may ask... How come did you not know of the sinister things that the Quartermaster did?" Luo Na intruded thinking that the Grandmaster may have something up her sleeve.
Jue Chen let off a deep sigh and put one of her palms in her head.
"I was busy in keeping peace with the other schools that I did not know what's going on inside the school."
Luo Na understood what she meant. Jue Chen should keep peace among schools or else there'd be an uproar.
"Anyway, I present to you two of my best students who claims to be not brainwashed. This is Elaa Zhu Yang and Zhao Min Yin."
From the darkness hidden by the shadows, the two moved stealthily and appeared in front of them.
"Greetings. I am Elaa Zhu Yang from the clan of Yang Chi."
The blue-robed girl who is about the same age as Luo Na spoke.
"Greetings. I am Zhao Min Yin from the clan of Yin Chi."
The pink-robed girl said. She was younger than the blue one.
The two looked dead serious but after their eyes laid upon Luo Na, the seemingly serious and hostile atmosphere disappeared.
"Sister Luo we have been waiting for you. It has been so many years!" Elaa hugged her passionately.
"Sister Luo, we thought that you killed yourself! Why didn't you even write a letter for us!?" Zhao rushed to hug her with tears in her eyes.
"I am worried. If the Quartermaster finds out that I really was alive, she'd be furious and ask all of you to kill me. If she found out, you two will be forced to kill me."
Luo Na replied and returned her warm hug unto the girls.
Back when Luo Na was in Emei, Elaa Yang and Zhao Yin are her very best friends. Upon the time of the mass defile led by the Quartermaster's evil doings, Luo Na escaped from Emei's tutelage and lived in the mountains until the Dragon Blade took her in by her brother's wishes.
"Now that you have all gathered, it's time for us to rest. You all have a long journey tomorrow."
Jue Chen then excused herself.
Elaa and Zhao Min led them all to their quarters.
The fierce storm passed by and howled all night but they had all slept peacefully.
The next morning, Wei Yue's team all gathered up early and by Jue Chen's blessing, the Emei warriors, Yang Chi and Yin Chi joined them in.
"Where would you all be headed that you needed my best students?" Jue Chen asked Wei Yue.
"We have a fire to quench." Wei Yue replied.
"The witch... You mean?" Jue Chen shakingly asked.
Wei Yue nodded his head and then asked his men to head off.
From far away, Jue Chen bade them goodbye...
"I pray that Buddha may guide your way to defeat such obstacle." Those are Jue Chen's last words that Wei Yue heard before their departure.
"The Dragon Blade's fortress is up ahead." Luo Na pointed to the direction where the sky has been completely painted red and yellow and black smoke rose up in the air.
"We should have a plan for entering such big territory don't you think?" Zhao Xiaoxing is very shaken. He knew that he'd be facing against his father.
"As expected from a prince! Yeah we should have a plan. I agree with him." Li An sarcastically said and patted his back measly.
"Zhao Xiaoxing's right. We should have a plan. As the King's General... I suggest that we strike the enemy and tear the darn fortress down!" General Hua wielded his sword and grinned widely.
Luo Na and Wei Yue shooked their heads in dismay and Elaa and Zhao Min put their palms on their faces.
"Gosh. Their complete idiots except for Zhang Xiaoxing." They all thought.
"Hm... I suggest that we all wear disguises so no one will suspect that we are all threats." Luo Na said while spinning her dagger using her finger.
"Wow! That's great idea my love, why didn't I thought of that!" General Hua applauded but Luo Na smacked her palm in her face.
"All of you please! Cooperate so that we'll get through the kingdom safe and sound and reach Fu Xiaoxing!" Now, Luo Na is acting like a tiger with prowess and force in her voice. Everyone paid attention and that surprised Elaa and Zhao Min.
"Wow. Big Sister Luo has changed a lot hasn't she?" Elaa asked Zhao Min.
"Yes. She have really changed a lot since she was gone for a long long time." Zhao Min replied smiling happily.
"Okay now calm down. All we need to do is wear unsuspicious clothing and sneak into the Dragon Blades fortress and prevent not to be discovered. Am I clear?" Luo Na's tone and manner of speaking changed into a serious mood making General Hua, Li An and Zhang Xiaoxing still and obeyed her orders.
Absolutely. They can't parade themselves along the kingdom wearing royal authentic Jade-embroidered golden clothing that's exclusively made from the Jade Phoenix's kingdom or else they'd become cold dead bodies floating in the Lan Shan Yu River.
"I can't wear this Luo Na!" Exclaimed Li An. "This is too daring and showing lots of skin!"
Li An struggled as Luo Na forcefully tried to fix the red-lily robe that she picked for her.
"Please participate or else we'll all die!" Luo Na then finished off Li An's robe.
After a short while, all of them gathered at the entrance of the kingdom.
They walked around the crowd keeping their heads down. Especially Wei Yue. The witch has her knowledge and instinct if the Jade Phoenix spirit is near or not. Luo Na gave her dragon silk scarf to him as an amulet so that the witch's powers might be hindered and prevent the guards from discovering them.
At last, they arrived at the palace's steps. Before they could enter, two guards that guarded the front palace crossed their spears and blocked the way.
"What is that? In what reason are you here at the palace?" One of the guards asked while the other one tried to inspect the golden box that they are carrying.
"I have brought divinators for the king." Zhang Xiaoxing said while having heavy thoughts, gulping his own saliva.
"Prince. If you may, please lower down the golden box and open it." The guards had demanded to open the box. Alas, Wei Yue and the others have no choice.
"Very well then." Zhang Xiaoxing opened the box and there inside the box glowed many gemstones and alchemy materials of some sorts. "Wha- it wasn't there..?" Zhang Xiaoxing was the silenced by Li An stepping unto his foot.
General Hua closed the box and said. "We have matters with the king. Could you please move aside?"
Luo Na gripped General Hua's hand and he stepped aside.
Faking a smile, Luo Na convinced the guards and after a brief moment, they made their way inside the palace.
"For a moment there I thought we're all going to die!" Luo Na snapped her anger towards all of them.
"I- I'm sorry I used my powers. It was-"
Wei Yue's explanation was cut short.
"You impressed me and thank you. For using your powers, you did not bother to play chase and ran away did you little phoenix?"
A beautiful woman in black Qin Yuan robe appeared from the shadows. Her hair was black as the night sky and her skin as white as the fresh powder of snow. Her lips, red, like fresh blood from a human's flesh. And her eyes... Yellow as an amber quartzite.
"If I'm not mistaken, you're Ning Yuen Feng right?" Wei Yue stepped forward bravely and faced Ning.
"Yes I am. Have you heard of me? From my stepson? Am I right Zhang?" She looked at Zhang with her fierce amber eyes and Zhang averted her deathly stares.
"You leave the king alone, Ning." Wei Yue summoned his Jade staff revealing his true form. The head of a bird and a body of a human.
"This is amusing." Ning raised up her hand upwards and a Pipa appeared out of nowhere.
Ning took hold of the Pipa and strucked it. The air in the throne room became heavy and a strong gust of wind passed by and Wei Yue's right shoulder has been wounded.
"That was fast. Your highness. You cannot fight her alone!" Luo Na screamed but Wei Yue could not hear anything but the echoing of the Pipa's tune.
"We can help." Elaa and Zhao presented themselves to Luo Na.
"Made a pact with us and we'll become your weapons." Zhao touched Luo Na's palms reassuring her that everything will be alright.
"If I will activate the pact, your clans will abandon you. You will be forgotten!" Luo Na's tears came falling down from her eyes. However, Elaa and Zhao insisted.
"We are long forgotten. When you left Emei, the Yang Chi and Yin Chi clan has been slaughtered to death by a Tao Zhen that has been summoned by a powerful witch. And that witch, is the one that we are facing now. Please. Give us the opportunity to avenge our brethren." Elaa patted Luo Na's back.
Luo Na stared at them with eyes full of pity. She hugged them both and said...
"Alright."
Luo Na took both of her daggers and sliced a little cut from her palms using both of it. She struck it on the palace floor and chanted.
Oh Yang Chi and Yin Chi spirit. Come forth as your master calls. Heed my calling and destroy my enemies like dust in the wind and fire subdued by water.
Wan Zhi Yan Wu Chun Fei Yang Chi Shou Yin Chi!
A bright light illuminated the whole palace that made Ning stopped playing her Pipa.
"Impossible!" Ning yelled in fury.
