Jordan put on his coat and was about to call Xiao Deng to pick him up when there was another knock on the door.

That was Ye Chen's first thought.

He opened the door and saw a burly man wearing a cap outside.

"Hall Master."

The man's deep voice rumbled.

It was obviously Ye Lingtian.

Ye Chen quickly invited Ye Lingtian in and asked in surprise, "Why are you here?"

Ye Lingtian took off his hat and said respectfully, "Hall Master, I should have come to welcome you personally yesterday, but I was delayed by some matters."

"That's not what I meant. I'm asking you why you came to see me today. Did something happen?" 

"It's better if we're not seen together. If there's anything, we can talk over the phone."

"Understood!" Ye Lingtian nodded and continued, "However, Hall Master, since you are here, I naturally have to play the role of the host adequately."
