"Sayuri, Sayuri, what is going on?" Sayuri's father is screaming on the other side, trying to break the door. 

Sei looks at the door. The corner of his lips curls up. "My father-in-law is here."

"No, wait." Sayuri blocks his way. "Don't harm him."

"Why would I do that?" He chuckles, placing his cold finger under her chin. "I have gone through twenty-five long years of pretence for your sister. I married her, loved her, and wanted to give her a rightful place in my world. But she dared to --" He clenches his teeth. "say that she doesn't love me."

Sayuri swallows. She looks at Wakana and then she turns her gaze toward Nishimura Soichiro. "Wakana loves you. She does. She was just confused for a moment."

"Did she tell you that?" He narrows his eyes suspiciously. "Did she say that she missed me?"
