Capítulo 63: The Fam

"What time is it?" Edy inwardly groans sneaking a peek at the time in his phone, "6 am…" he lays back down only to see Leah quietly sleeping beside him.

He gently rubs his eyes, "I can't sleep," he quietly gets up to prevent Leah from waking.

In an instant, Edy is downstairs at the kitchen table drinking his usual cinnamon tea in a mug designed with the Mexico flag.

He's mindlessly looking around the kitchen, lost in thought while drinking his tea, "It's been a week since Belen was last here. I haven't heard anything from her since then. I'm too worried. I never thought I wouldn't be able to sleep."

Dawn is vastly approaching as the clear blue pastels on the sky appear, "Time is just endlessly passing me by. I want to know how you are, Belen, are you sick?" he utters in distress.
