Day 24
Gaitonde was sitting on the same chair on which he committed suicide.
Police: Katekar did Mr. Sartaj kill him?
All the others laugh
Katekar: What's there to laugh?
Police: How did he get the information,
Katekar: How would I know?
Police: How did he surface after 15 years?
Katekar: Do I look like a fucking astrologer to you?
Police: Why are you getting angry?
Katekar: My wife nags me at home. I dont need it here.
Sartaj is examining the woman shot by Gaitonde, she has a car key in her hand.
Parulkar enters, Sartaj stands up.
Parulkar: Sartaj? What is all this?
Sartaj: I received a tip sir?
(Tip means information)
Parulkar: Why didn't you tell me?
Sartaj: I had no idea sir. I realized when I got here.
Parulkar: Ok go to the police station. Majid will handle everything.
Sartaj: Its my case sir.
Parulkar: Do you have any idea what happened here? Ganesh Gaitonde has returned. Theres the press, there are other agencies. Have you ever dealt with them?
Parulkar starts walking towards the room in which Gaitonde killed himself. Sartaj follows him. He stares at Gaitonde's body and starts walking away. Just as he turns towards the exit he hears a voice inside his head.
Gaitonde (inside Sartaj's head): You can't get away easily Mr. Sartaj
He again turns to stare at Gaitonde.
Gaitonde: You'll be back to hear my story.
