Capítulo 56: Becoming Rich
The person at the door was the gym leader. Behind him was the researchers from the meeting. The last group was the head of the entertainment department.
"What are you guys doing at my place? If you wanted me couldn't you have just summoned me to the gym. Come on in just please don't make it a habit to visit me." Austin said annoyed. It was night time and this group couldn't wait for the next day. Who knows what they want now.
"Kid you are rich and we came to give you good news and this is how you thank us." Muliere said pretending to be hurt. He knew Austin's personality. They also came at night.
Austin invited them in and asked, " what do you mean I'm rich? I don't think anything from the meeting became big as of yet. Right now there are only rumors."
"Allow me to explain." One of the researchers said. "Your idea for night vision/ heat vision glasses was put on preorder watch. The news was spread all over the city and many rich people and trainers put an order. If you check your account it should have about half a million dollars."
"The second part was after everyone saw the governor with a lillipup, many rich people began to order in large amounts. We had an issue with this and came to see if you have a solution." The researcher continued.
"So you don't want too many lillipups being in the city incase the people aren't able to keep them tame. The biggest issue is that these rich people getting the Pokemon might try and challenge the league or something. To business men their greed is too large.
The answer is simple honestly charge high price and a one lillipup per house hold rule should be upheld. I could have sworn I mentioned this in the meeting. As for wanting to protect their kids or whatever excuse the rich come up with. Just say they have to register as trainers with the league. Make it a rule the only individuals allowed to carry Pokemon are those register with the league.
This keeps the power within the government and Pokemon league. I will say this once, its never good to mix government and business together or it will make things really bad." Austin stated.
This made the others surprised by his thinking process but only for a moment. The next person to speak was the entertainment department, " We just have one issue and it's about the Pokemon games. We realized we don't have enough knowledge about them to make the so called games. We wanted your input."
"This is a good question after I give you the info, make sure you send your people to the Pokemon schools to get the basic knowledge. Especially the commentators during the event. You can make it a total of three event. The first event is an obstacle course similar to the one in the gym but bigger. Second one can be different races where you can post ranking like fastest flying type, fastest water type, strongest fighting type. Finally the third segment is the Pokemon battle on stage." Austin began explaining how the obstacle course could be like the cooperation between Trainer and Pokemon. At the same time show the people that the trainers Pokemon are under control and cooperative.
Second part is just for Fun and the ranking is a form of competition between the trainers. Last part is the best of the best to determine who has the strongest Pokemon. Austin finished his explanation. The entertainment Businessman was enlighten and thanked Austin. They decided to employ the league as they had a better understanding on the rules and regulations that can be set.
" Austin you become quite famous in our circle. If you have any more wonderful ideas in that head of yours let us know." Muliere said.
"Their are plenty but I don't have enough data and information so I can't help you. What I can tell you is that you can outsource both the glasses and the trained lillipups to other places. We do have the transfer modules in the Pokemon centers. Pokeballs and items can be transported. They can be labeled with the city states name that way our home will become famous." Austin just threw that phrase out without thinking. This made the people in the room excited.
If this works out, they can attract people and trainers to visit this place maybe even move here. The only issue is the way the city was built was very unorganized so they didn't know what to do.
After chatting for a bit they decided to leave when Muliere asked if they could see his yard. When they went to see it they felt dumb. How can this be a yard it was to big for that. They saw Austin's Combusken and another Pokemon in this big yard. They found out that it was a Noibat Austin managed to tame. This made Muliere excited as they only had two trainers who gained dragon types. Now Austin was the third. This was the third dragon Pokemon in the City-State.
After looking around and giving phrases they left Austin's home. Austin was satisfied when peace returned to his home. He decided to check his bank account and when he saw the amount it was $960,455. He was shocked and found out why. The movie productions started and the first movie was a hit. They actually gifted him $300,000. They even sent the movie to play in other city-states to see the results.
The rest of the amount came from the lillipup project. Part of the grants they received was also gifted to him. As he was happy about this he heard the doorbell ring and got annoyed.
"What else did you old fellows forget?" Austin said rudely.
"You first don't tell us where you moved then you call us old. Seems I didn't lecture you enough..."
