Terence Chang knew very well that the guy recommended by David Permut was quite strong. If John Woo had not strongly opposed it before, he would probably have been the chosen one.
That guy has been preparing for this role for quite some time. Even if his acting skills are not that outstanding, at least he has made a lot of preparations.
