Some cheered for them as they passed, but most simply stared, both unable to believe that their victory had come to pass, and unable to decide whether that was truly a good thing or not.

"I have some good men who saw to it – ah, there they are now." Morojo and Takeshi came racing, wide smiles decorating their faces. They'd been up the entire night with worry, and several times Takeshi was forced to hold Morojo back as he suggested they cross the plains.

"Miura! You're still alive? And so many of you too! Bloody hell… I never thought that would work. Is this really it then? We're going to overthrow the Daimyo? It seems so close! Wait, who's this?" 

Finally, Gengyo was able to get a word in, and Morojo's excited barrage died down. "This is Matsudaira Motoyasu."
