Capítulo 93: A Sisters meeting

"And that's essentially what happened" Arthur finished explaining what had happened at least a barebones version to Winter, having left the forest just a few minutes earlier when Glynda had told him to escort Winter to the headmasters office where Ironwood along with Ozpin were, but Arthur deciding to take a detour towards the infirmary to check on Weiss, Winter having been reluctant to keep her general waiting but after hearing her sister had collapsed readily agreed to follow Arthur.

"I see… So your aura somehow affected my semblance thus creating… her…" she said looking to the grey siren hanging off Arthur's shoulders, dragging the attention of everyone who could only see a woman wrapping her arms around Arthurs neck whilst her entire body floated off the ground like a living cape.

"Yeah… I think? As I said this is a first" He answered, having completely given up on dealing with the cuddle wanting siren.

"Quite frankly, I find that hard to believe" she replied, her body held high with dignity as her expression remained cold and robotic, "Another's aura affecting another's semblance is simply unheard of, an impossibility even" she added, "The chances of you being a descendent of a Schnee is much more likely"

"Don't start with that, that's what caused Weiss to collapse, she's having enough problems as it is, she doesn't need come random chatter in her head saying she might or might not have another brother, or cousin or what not. And I can tell you with confidence I am no Schnee" he quickly answered as the siren began to poke his cheek with one of its fingers, its claws having retracted into looking like normal finger nails, just sharper.

Arthur turned his head slightly to the side seeing the sirens face… mask? Expression which it had on its face, looking as if it had a bright smile, "Yes?" he asked, only getting more pokes to his cheek as the siren let out a strange echo like giggle as it kept poking.

Letting out a sigh Arthur continued walking as he tried his best to ignore the affectionate siren, heavily intent on not being ignored.

"Yes, and if I may, what exactly is your relation to Weiss? I haven't received any letters from her recently and the only thing I had heard from her about you was 'The incompetent boy who keeps getting injured and should never have been allowed to attend beacon'" she quoted.

"Yeah, sounds like Weiss alright, I'm guessing you got the before the fire last week?" He asked, his eyelid twitching as the siren moved on to poking both his cheeks in a staggered manner.

"I did indeed, after that I have received nothing, it is quite worrying considering if she really did collapse as you said, I would have some idea as to the reason why and yet I have nothing to go on" she assessed a small frown forming on her face as she worried about her sister.

"And I am quite sure it has nothing to do with life here in Beacon, nor with her team and friends, as such I can only assume something has happened to her or something happened between her and father"

Arthur was silent for a while before he let out a sigh, "It's her father, she found some stuff, or well, lack thereof, and it's making her question herself" he answered, thinking that it would be helpful to Weiss to know that her sister was there for her, "After the fire last week she saw a girl, Fairy, or well, Silky, Silky Eisen" Winter's steps faltered for a split second before she continued.

"She remembered Fairy and her family from a few years ago, even attended Fairy's as well as her parents funerals. Her parents having refused to work with your father a few days prior, and ended up being killed when 'the white fang' attacked them in their home, luckily Fairy survived" he sighed remembering the distraught sight of Weiss when he first saw her questioning everything.

"Weiss looked into the articles around the attack and found that the source of the new originated from the SDC as well as new agencies connected to the SDC, and she just kept digging and running into more and more of these 'convenient' incidences where families or companies went down, board members conveniently disappearing after disagreeing with your father" he finished as he raised his hand slightly and began to rub the head of the siren who had now decided to just jest its chin on his shoulder, the siren letting out another ethereal giggle when he did.

"I see…" Winter let out a sigh of her own before quickly fixing her posture and returning to her usual dignified posture, albeit Arthur could see in her eyes what looked to be sympathy to him, "Does anyone else know?" she asked.

"So far, only me, I've been trying to get Weiss to open up to Ruby and the others after she had a bit of time to think" Arthur said.

"Good, I shall speak with Weiss as well, so long as these teammates of hers are trustworthy I would also recommend her to discuss it with them" Winter quickly agreed leaving Arthur silent, 'So you already know…' he thought letting out another sigh, having somewhat expected this already.

"We're here" Arthur said as he was about to open the door a familiar dog faunus boy opened it from the inside and bumped into Arthur, "SORRY!" the boy screamed causing Arthur to flinch from the loud noise, "Sorry" the boy said in an almost whisper like tone after realizing his folly and quickly walked past Arthur whilst picking at his dog ears which were only slightly ringing now, the boy also sending a cautious glance to the woman hanging from Arthurs shoulders.

Arthur watched the boy walk down the hallway for a moment before turning back and leading Winter into the infirmary where he saw Kardia trying to mime something to another student who had been temporarily deafened by the sirens scream.

Arthur paused for a moment as he looked over to where Weiss was sitting on a bed, in her hands a steaming cup of either soup or coffee, maybe but less likely tea. Ruby, Yang and Blake all sitting next to her while Ruby hugged Weiss tightly as if giving her some reassurance.

"I guess we don't need to get her to speak with them" Arthur muttered, not getting a response from Winter as she began to lightly walk towards Weiss with her usual military walk, looking almost mechanical due to how trained it was.

"Winter!" Weiss squeaked once she realized she was approaching her, her sudden jerk sending a splash of hot coffee over Ruby's legs causing her to slip from the bed and jump around fanning the now bright red skin on her legs.

Weiss soon trying to force herself to get off the bed, only to be halted when Winter raised her hand in the air and brought it swiftly down on Weiss's head, "Stay down Weiss, you are not well, no need to waste everyone's time with formalities"

Weiss now nursing a rising bump on her head for the third time now, 'Why does this keep happening…' she complained in her head.

"Who's she?" Yang whispered leaning slightly towards Arthur.

"That, would be Weiss's sister Winter Schnee, a specialist in the Atlas military" Arthur explains.

"Oh, explains why she was so good at fighting then" Yang quickly nodded, whilst a buzz came from Blake's scroll as she quickly pulled it out, her eyes going wide for a second before she quickly ran out of the room.

"Where's she going?" Yang asked again.

"I don't know, but whatever she got, she wanted some privacy with" Arthur quessed.

"If you know what I mean" Yang added with a smirk and chuckle, getting a face palm from Arthur as he groaned in response.

"You should have informed me the moment you discovered this Weiss" Winter said, "I could have helped you, albeit not by much" she added.

"What-what do you mean?" Weiss gulped, her head hanging slightly.

"You know exactly what, these suspicious occurrences around father and the SDC, do not play me for a fool" Winter answered.

"I-I… I know, I'm sorry I-I just didn't want to blow things out of the water and disturb you for something that could very well just be me overthinking" Weiss lowered her head apologetically.

"I would never be bothered, should my sister require my assistance I shall find the time even if I have none" A small smile formed on her face as her tone softened slightly, still remaining as dignified as always, just slightly lighter in tone.

Before Weiss could say anything Winter continued, "But, what does bother me is the blatant disrespect my blood has committed to her own body by taking such poor care of it that she collapses in the middle of a field" She bluntly put, causing Weiss to shrivel up completely.

"Schnee's need to take such good care for our bodies, we are neither the strongest physically nor mentally, we are quick to get sick, we easily get addicted, as with you and coffee…" she said.

"She does have an espresso machine on her desk" Yang chuckled, remembering the quite large and quite expensive high tech coffee machine Weiss had set up in their room on the first day, not that Yang was one to complain about good coffee.

"It's not that bad…" Weiss softly muttered her head turning away in guilt as she thought of one of her birthdays where she had her own personal barista.

"And, we are easily lead astray, as with Whitley" A cringe formed on Weiss's face, "But, should we Schnee's be able to pass all these trials our bodies present us, we shall excel at whatever we do, be it in the military, huntresses or even in business and politics, maybe even many other things if we put our minds to it. And to see my sister in such a state due to her disregard for her own body is appalling" Winter finished her lecture, thus proving that lectures were something ingrained in the Schnee bloodline.

"Wow, tough love much" Yang whispered to Arthur, who was still doing his best to ignore the constant feeling of the Siren poking him all over his body, Ruby and Yang not seeming to notice as from their point of view they didn't see anything as the Siren decided to hide herself in her illusion after getting annoyed with the amount of stares she was getting whilst walking through the school.

"What you have discovered surrounding the SDC and father, the numerous seemingly 'coincidental' occurrences, the dead employees, rivals, families, father taking over each and every plot of land these people owned, you are not the first to discover it" Winter said, seating herself next to Weiss.

"There are two reasons I am no longer the heiress, the first the one that everyone knows, I joined the military to escape from fathers grasp. And the other, I had become suspicious, I, just like you discovered a flaw, one that made me question everything about who I was and about who I wanted to be, but father soon learnt of my suspicions and had me promptly removed from my position as heiress and had all my assets frozen" she explained, Weiss unable to say anything.

"Be very careful, father is a manipulative and vindictive person, I could never prove anything, all I could find were 'coincidences' and happenstances. Do not make the same mistakes as me Weiss, I'm sure after you chose to ignore his wants and came to Beacon that he is already beginning to question you, unless you are absolutely sure you can live without him or his money you shouldn't even be looking into this" Winter explained standing up and straightening herself out returning to her usual trained demeanour.

"But, should you choose to keep digging, be careful, I could only scratch the surface and just that was enough to have me stricken from the family will, at one point there will be no returning, if he truly is the reason behind such things then I am more than certain something much worse would happen to you, and not even I would be able to stop it" Winter said causing Weiss to gulp

"Should you be able to discover anything from within and collect enough evidence, give it to me and I will have the full weight of the Atlas military bearing down on him" She said, confidence evident in her voice, "Now, rest, you look like a tomato" Winter flicked Weiss's forehead and began to walk towards Arthur, "You, come with me, I believe the general wished to meet with you" She said, not giving Arthur a chance to refute as she began to walk away stopping just by the door waiting for Arthur and his siren.

"Well, wish me luck" Arthur muttered cracking his neck, not that it made any sound, the Siren copying his action and looking very confused as to why he did that.
