In the office across of Emilié's chamber sat Emil with Sera and another woman, discussing about their next step that will determine the changes in Emilié's life.
"What do you plan to do with that child Emil?" asked the woman with the hazelnut brown hair, who looked contrasting to the icy cold Sera, petite and soft like water.
She was a very fragile lady with pale complexion and wore a long dress which covered most of her skin bringing out her demure and reserved side.
Yet that didn't undermine the slight indignation she held for Emil.
What do they say 'fire looks threatening -so few get burned, water looks weak and soft -so many get drowned'¹.
Hence, Emil should really look out for himself. This soft looking woman wasn't an easy one to fun with, if he doesn't look out he will be drowned by her.
"The doctor said that she is in need of a safe and peaceful environment, far away from stress and things that might stimulate her badly and I'm assured you are able to give her that. You are a kind woman who can make her feel wanted and loved. I can not ask anyone else than you, since I know you for so long and you were my-" Emil talked with a tone full of respect and servility, what was very unusual for him since, he was a person who held himself in high esteem but, he couldn't finish his sentence.
He was cut off by the lady with a just as a soft voice like her look.
Her tone was reserved but, marred with a hardness and strictness that prickled Emil hard in the wrong side.
His guilty consciousness.
"What makes you think I will take her in?" she asked raising her eyebrow in a mocking way. "You were gone for six years and I lived all the years by myself, having accepted the reality you being no longer by my side. Then it comes out you are alive, kicking and jumping around here and there."
"Then you make a burden on yourself to realize that you slipped up and can not take care of it and crawl with your tail between your legs to dump it on me! Don't you have any shame left!" her voice raised slightly.
"Bu-" Emil tried to struggle out of his unfavorable position but was cut off again.
"What but! You bring your daughter here and let me take care of her, while you go play around some more then impregnate another woman and bring that child here too, to let me take care of it!" She crossed her arms. "Do I look like a vegetarian?! I might have been your wife once but am not your child carer when you need it!" she bust in irritation.
'cough cough' At that, the none commenting Sera had a coughing fit on some popcorn.
Yes, popcorn!!!!!
She might have a cold face... and a cold personality, but she enjoyed drama very much, so... when they were planning on sitting and talking about the future of Emilié, she expected some sh*t going south and made herself some popcorn to sit this conversation out and indulge herself in her secret obsession and lose more respect for Emil... wait, there was already none left after Emilié pummeling him.
Well, in the end she hadn't expected this soft woman to claw on Emil harshly and in a wrong direction to boot.
Emil was alive because she saved him. She owed him one afterall.
Afterward, she disallowed Emil to go back to his normal life for many reasons that might bring unnecessary problems.
Thus Emil was taken in as a member of the Black Vipers and was busy working with them. And...
...Emil having children!
Emilié looked like him but he was still hung on that slag man Sasha. How could that guy touch another woman?!
She tried, so she knew.
Emil would never forgive himself for betraying Sasha, by letting himself be intimate with another person. Even though Sasha believed he was dead and would never find it out.
'cough cough cough' Sera was coughing her lungs and liver out, still stuck on that dry popcorn and earning a sharp glare from Emil.
Inwardly he cursed her out.
Eating and enjoying herself in his misery, that's what she gets from silently watching a live drama.
He hoped she chokes to death.
Jane, Emil's former wif-, no, on the papers she was still his wife, furrowed her eyebrows lightly, pouring Sera a glass of water and handing it to her, which the recipient grapped as if her life depends on it and chugged it empty.
"Jane" Emil resumed redirecting his gaze on Jane. "Emilié, that girl is not my daughter. She is-"
"I've had it with your lies Emil! Stop denying it and be at least man enough to say it into my face! I deserve this much truth from you or do I not?!"Jane interrupted again not letting him explain.
Her irritation and suspecting him on telling her lies was well understood.
As everyone would presume the same when seeing Emil and Emilié together, they both looked more of a father and daughter pair than Sasha and Emilié.
Emilié had many similarities with Emil, that Sasha saw since Emilié was a baby and was a daily reminder of his deceased lover.
Why else came Sasha up with calling Emilié, Emilié. Afterall, it was derived from Emil's name.
That was also the reason why he cared for her more, not out of fatherly love but out of his selfishness.
And with every year passing and her growing, the similarities grew, drawing Sasha in, letting him see Emil's shadow in her.
"Jane for god's sake! Please, let me finish talking!... Please." Emil snapped with the same irritation but without putting up a front, cause he hurt Jane too much to pull his weight under her watch.
He should better look out not losing his life for real.
Then, this time no one would know he died 'again' under someone's hand, since it was already documented that he is dead.
So Jane would come out clean with murdering him, and she would do that without flinching back or even bat an eye.
"Then Speak!" She gazed at him with narrowed eyes, warning him to pull another bullsh*t.
Finally being granted to speak. "She is-" he was interrupted again.
He was really about to go crazy. Someone opened the door with a loud 'creak' in the middle of his sentence.
He turned back to the person to curse out their whole nine generation, when the person with ocean blue eyes looked to him, letting him choke on his spittle.
'Phew!' He almost cursed himself out!
"Emilié!" He stood up frozen. Did she hear what they were talking about?
Random babble:
1 not my words it's by Han Fei Tzu. I like what he wrote and had to include it and it is fitting for Jane's character, soft but deadly… at least for Emil
And the cliff is not on purpose sry for that but, any more and I had to write another thousand words and would need another day to publish and I don't wanna do that.
Soooo enjoy : )
