Capítulo 18: CHP 17: EMOTIONS
"Hello Freya where are you? im waiting for you! You cannot keep this old man waiting for so long you know I had to take medicines, when are you coming?", I heard the cheerful voice of grandpa my heart pacified a bit
"Grandpa look towards the parking lot I'm outside ,I got an urgent mission to be completed it's an emergency. First I thought of having dinner with you but when I see your guest's car I think it will be uncomfortable for them and me too. Next time when you want to try you have to play better grandpa. I told you that I don't want to see anyone from the Coleman and I made sure of that before and now too. Grandpa you already know me better than anyone how stubborn im.
Bye grandpa I will come to talk with you tomorrow morning have dinner and take medicines say goodbye to uncle Lan (butler of Coleman mansion) goodnight I will stay in the residential area today''
Without waiting for a reply I quickly ended the call and was about to open the door of the jeep , when I felt a gaze on my back when I saw who it was I made eye contact with those piercing silver eyes of my father.
I saw him looking in my direction with an expectantly look I just stared at him for about a minute when I saw grandpa looking at both of us from the window I nodded towards his direction ,quickly entered the jeep and drove through the driveway.When I looked at rear mirror I saw my father still standing there looking at my car .I averted my gaze accelerated my jeep and speeded off the gate towards the high end roads of my condo which was located opposite the direction of the mansion .it was a residential area for military officers .I had my own house there .
While looking at the speeding jeep my heart trembled I saw my only daughter(FREAYA) after 7 years I cannot explain the feeling. Should I be excited or disappointed that my own daughter ignored me like a stranger. I couldn't see her properly but I saw those violet eyes which showed emptiness and cold indifference towards my direction. I could see my eyes welled just looking how my daughter has grown to be a slender, tall a beautiful lady it increased my pride.
But after listening to the cold yet gentle soft voice Freya called dad it made me jealous .what made me sad that she doesn't want to meet us I know that we never met her before when father used to call us for lunch with her .I didn't want effect Sara health again so I just rejected the invitation but I failed to observe my daughters feeling of being abandoned .
I knew from birth she would BE different from the rest of our family members but still I cannot forgo those bitter taste of not being noticed by the person you needed attention the most. Now I know what she must have felt back then.
When she was talking to dad I wanted to snatch the phone talk with her, scold her but to my disappointment I never had the guts to do, I don't have the right to be angry with her.
Giving a last look at the empty driveway I saw dad looking in my direction he gave me gentle pat on my shoulders
"son give her some time she will understand"
Said Marco (grandpa father of Dominic)
I quickly nod my head and walk towards the dining area where I saw Sara and Suzan talking with each other I took my sit next to dad and I saw Elle taking a sit next to me.
Elle was quiet similar to me but he was very close to his mother from birth he was never the talkative one. after Sara gave birth to him I thought Elle will be the only child will have but due to some complication Sara gave birth to Freya. I knew Elle blamed Freya for his mother's declining health but he failed to notice that it neither her nor his mistake. I don't know what to do of this matter.
Elle was very close to Freya when they were small he was the mature one but after that incident everything changed Elle remained indifferent towards me while taking care of his mother he never once asked about Freya even once. when Freya returned after all those years Elle maintained his distance towards her she was just a pitiful 13 old girl I feel quiet guilty towards her.
"dad I saw a girl violet eyes maybe that was Freya", said Elle in a cold tone.
"where u saw her?" said Marco jumping from his sit
"grandpa I saw her end of the hallway I was talking on the phone when I turned she was fiddling with her phone it. I couldn't see her properly it was dark"
"end of the hallway you say"? Said Marco looking towards Dominic they both held the same thought that Freya must have heard everything they had discussed she didn't want to see our so must have returned
"Elle if you had seen her why you didn't call her out"?
Asked Dominic with tinge of helplessness
"dad I don't know what to say to her and I didn't want to talk with her just now" said Elle while putting some food in his plate and started eating
"Elle you could have at least talked with her she is still your little sister."
"Dominic why are you forcing him to talk with her. just let him do what he wants and don't order my son around"?
Sara said while eating some food
"and father Freya is she not coming"?,i saw this first time sara taking the inititive to ask about Freya I see that her health has progressed a lot .Sara looked at dad waiting for answers I can see that she longed to see her daughter.
"no Sara Freya is busy she will come in the morning to meet me you can talk to her then",i said giving dad(Marco) a look.
"ok Dom"
Dominic couldn't say anything more he just kept quiet and started eating too
Noticing that everyone was quiet Marco cleared his throat in order to gain attention from everyone
"Listen everyone I want to announce something and it's very important"
Marco looked at everyone's face and saw them looking attentive towards his face
"I want our whole Coleman family to live together in this mansion .I had mentioned this to Dominic "
"father you mean whole family that means Freya too?
",asked Sara
"yeah Freya will live together with us she is heiress of Coleman and Sara before saying this I want to tell you that Freya is the true Coleman Get this in your head" said Marco looking straight towards Sara who looked at Marco with blank expression
"father I never stopped Freya from entering our house she is my daughter I know that. just give me some time father I know I had been unfair to her but you must think from my point of view losing my daughter a very heartbreak for me"
"I know Sara that's why im telling you to not regret later it might be too late for you to stabilize your daughter and mother relation and Elle she is your sister .The effect in your mother's health had nothing to do with her"
Marco looked at Elle who was listening to the conversation
"I know grandpa it is still difficult to accept her she knows that mom's health was not good still she created unwanted drama which could have effected mother seriously but I will try", with that Elle finished eating and stood up
"mom im going out with Samuel and others I will come late"
"bye brother"
Said Suzan who was quiet the whole time
Elle smiled to her reply without saying anything he walked out to the club to decrease his stress and the look he saw when Freya was looking at him
Dominic and the whole family finished eating the food Marco excused himself as he had to take medicines and sleep
Suzan walked towards her room after saying goodbye to her parents
Only Sara and Dominic remained near the fire place they sat in wide couch where Sara was wrapped in Dominic's embrace she leaned her head on his chest which had the warmth she sighed and lazed herself
"Dominic do you think im not a good mother"?
"Sara no you are a good mother stop thinking nonsense you are the best mother a child could have …. just for Freya I think it was unfair "
"we took care of Suzan more than our daughter though she is not our daughter I just hopeless thinking of her I don't know what to say to her"
"it's all because of me Dom you had to make the difficult between two of us I don't know should I be happy that you chose me or sad that our daughter suffered .she was not able to enjoy her childhood because of kidnapping and then because of my health you had to neglect her .you know Dominic I still cannot erase the image of small Freya who used to stick like a gum to me going everywhere following me I just don't how to explain the feeling when I heard she got kidnapped .if I had stayed with her that night nothing would have happened .Dom is this the was god is punishing me because what I did in the past bad karma maybe."
Sara said with depressed and missing the longing of a daughter who got nothing but heartbreak because of them she suffered throughout her childhood
"you know Dom I hired some private investigators about her whereabouts I don't know she kind of disappeared form the whole world after she left school I had not even seen her face since than the burden I feel is quiet heavy Dom I cannot carry it anymore I want my daughter with me I still don't know what happened to her when she was kidnapped whenever I used to look at her face while talking to Suzan I could see the empty look I saw that my old Freya was lost somewhere I couldn't find her the my innocent baby was nowhere to be seen what frightened me was the dark aura radiating from her Dom….. I did was wrong I know but I couldn't accept that a 13-year-old child can have the same aura as my brother I hated that man to each and every part of my body that's why I pushed Freya away it just brought back the old memories I couldn't separate the past and future when I was ready to accept everything Dom I was unable to find her, she is my daughter the baby I gave birth how can I hate her"
"I know Sara today I saw Freya' 'said Dominic wiping the tears of his wife
Sara asked in a surprise and excitedly
"Dom where did you see her? "did she talk to you?'' did she tell you when she is coming back? Dom I want to finish my treatment as soon as possible so that I can meet my daughter and apologies to her hurry Dom tell me" <Sara said squeezing Dominic's hand tightly
Dominic looked at his wife's face looking at him anxiously for answers he can that she was definitely trembling and looking expectantly at him
Dominic squeezed her hands tightly wrapping his hands around her waist he looked towards the window and saw it was raining and said
"I saw her outside near the parking lot she was about to enter the jeep but she must have felt my gaze I only saw her looking at me with those familiar yet cold and empty eyes. She didn't say anything to me and left with that I don't know what to say to her "sorry Freya your father failed to
give you a life a Coleman and as a daughter should have" will she forgive me Sara. when Freya was talking father was talking to her she said that she doesn't want to meet any of the strangers of Coleman while hearing those words it hurt very badly I wanted to snatch the phone and scold her but when I thought through it I felt that I had no authority Ove her, I think she will come tomorrow in the morning to meet dad"
"Dom what is Sara doing now? Is she still studying or job business"? Father didn't tell anything about her to me "
Sara said thinking deeply "dad didn't even tell me anything about her she I only know this much is that she is not in the business world and lives at her own place she rarely talks to her grandpa, it seems father has to talk to her superiors to get her talk with him,
"
"dad was telling me that after she left home she tried showing signs of suicide she fell into depression that were days when we were in vacationing. she even called at home but I guess someone told her that we were having family outing she must have felt heartbroken by this actually we went there for your treatment."
"Dom it was all because of me you don't have to feel sad I will tell her that you were the innocent in this whole thing"
"what are you saying Sara just shut up im not leaving you all alone to face Freya we are both equally responsible for this so will both try our hardest to pacify her anger, I know it's not just anger it may take days' months or even years but I want to complete our family I want to markup for the past mistakes don't worry Sara everything will be fine"
"Dom I hope so I want to quickly improve my health and take care of our daughter together "
"yeah Sara I hope too"
With that both husband and wife continued third endless discussion on regarding Freya they both failed to notice the malicious person that is no other than Suzan their adopted daughter her eyes were burning with rage
She clenched her hands gritting her teeth she swallowed the anger and went to her room
She quickly pulled and closed the door so that nobody could see or hear her she looked at the mirror she saw a beautiful girl smiling brightly but what destroyed the pure image was the look of maliciousness in those brown ribs she couldn't forget the words said by saran Dominic Coleman she was grateful that Coleman adopted her she tried her very best to make them erase urge memory of so called lost daughter but she couldn't completely erase her.
Then she thought of slowly destroying her reputation she acted as the pitiful white flower sister bullied by her own small sister which was successful her mother Sara took her side and father too .this made her really happy when Freya left the house till today she is still unknown to this world of rich and aristocrat ,while she is the princess and heiress to the Coleman the one thing she regretted was she doesn't have the blood of Coleman flowing inside her ,which infuriated her greatly everyone in the family especially Sara treats her very good her brother Elle and father Dominic always pamper her with everything but not to the extend what true Coleman should get but still is very happy .
After 7 years of taking care of everything maintaining a genuine appearance and wanting to become the heiress to saris music company she didn't want to lose everything she knew she was convincing herself that after Freya returns to Coleman family everything will remain same she doesn't think so. she must do something that must destroy Freya completely
But that whore I cannot even find her whereabouts till today grandpa is the only person in the family she doesn't have a good relationship with even though he barely acknowledges her. she must have killed this old man when she gets a chance.
With eyes burning with rage Suzan determined to get her family turn against Freya and become a true Coleman and that plans start from tomorrow she needs a very effective method to destroy Freya
Suzan pulled out her phone and dialed a number who was one of her follower
"hello darling", said the man in the phone
"hello Robert I want you to do a work for me will you do it. I will go on a date with you"
"what? You will finally go on a date with me. Just tell the work I will get it done as soon as possible. Anything for my darling"
"darling ? I don't think we are in that phase yet to call so called names. just do this work properly"
"ok"
"I want you to find whereabouts and all information on Freya Coleman her each and every move and what's she is doing now got it?'"
"Freya Coleman….?'' Isn't she the hidden heiress of Coleman who disappeared after she turned 14 nobody knows about her. And you that Coleman is not easy to deal with. Why you need her information though? Is she still alive"?
"yeah she is alive and now don't ask more question just find her goodbye"
"wait darling I want say that I love you and wait for me to go on a date"
Suzan ended the call she felt disgusted by this man's sweet tone it gave her goosebumps all over she feels like puking but it's worth the shot to find about Freya as he is in IT and heir too
Suzan without taking of anything pushing off her shoes she lied on the bed
