Capítulo 10: Chapter 5.1, Element Devouring Technique
After successfully getting some leftover ice from the cafeteria's kitchen, Si Liuqi made his way back to his dorm room. But when he arrived he was taken aback. "Eh? Wasn't my room as small as a clothing closet? But it is now at the same size as my room when I was in tang sect. Did enter the wrong room or something?" His room had gotten bigger, and there was even a wood bed in it.
"You are not wrong, this is indeed your room." The old man inside his mind voiced. "There seems to be slight fluctuations of space element here. And it's only in this room. How interesting.."
"Space element? Why would it appear here?" Si Liuqi at least knew what space element was, since it was mentioned as one of the seven elements during a class he attended in tang sect.
"It is better if you don't know. However you should know that this will not harm you but benefit you instead." The old man said indifferently.
"Benefit me? How?"
"Geez... This is why children are so annoying. You are already eleven, yet you keep asking questions without even thinking about it once. I know you suck at things physically, but at least try to think before speaking." The old man sounded helpless and worried. He was also very annoyed. "The space element will help you absorb soul power from outside, and make it easier for you to cultivate. It will also help you cultivate the ice devouring technique."
"Ah, now that you mention it, I should start cultivating the ice devouring technique a soon as possible, right?" Si Liuqi was dumb. He was in fact the dumbest student in the whole shrek. He wasn't stupid, but he was dumb.

"Maybe it's better if you don't know what it can achieve. Anyways, these devouring techniques are not for anyone to cultivate. But you can cultivate thanks to your special soul essence."
The old man then continued without giving a chance for Liuqi to speak. "Don't even try to ask about it. You will learn when the time is right. Back to the element devouring techniques, not everyone can cultivate it, and even the ones who could can't start cultivating without some restrictions. This also goes on for you."
The old man took a pause before continuing. "If you want to start cultivating these techniques you must start with either fire devouring, or ice devouring. Why, you would ask? Fire represents yang, the moment you achieve initial success in fire devouring technique, your body will become yang based, and you will then be able to start cultivating the other yang based devouring techniques, such as rock devouring, thunder devouring and etc. Ice represents yin, and the same goes for this technique as well. You will be able to cultivate wind devouring, space devouring, and etc, if you cultivate the ice devouring technique. To which element you devour and gain initial success on, your body and spirit will become immune to it. So if you gain initial success on ice devouring, you won't be hurt by ice or even cold temperature. Of course if the one you are fighting against possesses an absolute or an ultimate element, you are done."
"Uhh... Can you repeat the restriction part again? I was thinking about how my soul essence could be special since you mentioned it." Si Liuqi asked awkwardly while scratching the back of his head.
"... I hate children."
