" So which kindergarten did you steal this little girl from, Seventh?" Eric asked as he cut his fillet.
"I got the girl as a gift. My stupid dad wants me not to be alone. Thony, get ready, next is you." Henry replied, shaking his wine glass slowly.
"What's the name of the brat anyway?" Anthony asked, directly ignoring his older brother's words.
"There is not. Sister-in-law, pick a name for the girl." Henry drank the wine and looked at Diana who was cutting her juicy steak and enjoying the soft music of a violin.
"I'm not good at choosing names."
"She will be your servant. Give any name and it will be fine." Said Anthony.
"How about "Luna"? " told Mrs. Jones that I served wine to men and lemon water to the girls.
"Luna?" Alexander asked quietly. "Well, it suits. "Diana" is also the name of the Roman moon goddess and "Luna" means moon in Latin. It is a good name."
"I thought the same." She smiled Mrs. Jones.
"As expected of our Nanny, she always knows how we think." Commented Eric.
"Little girl, you're called Luna from now on. It's earned a beautiful name." Said Henry disinterestedly. "Say Thank you to Mrs. Jones."
"Thank you, ma'am." Luna said in a voice as soft and low as the sound of a moving mosquito's wing.
"All right, child. Study hard and serve the Lady well. I'm sure you will be treated well. Mrs. Diana is a good person. A little indifferent but, has a good heart. Very kind." Mrs. Jones said quietly near the girl's ears.
"Well, since the name has been decided, we must decide other things. I want the girl to go to the Saint Claire Academy for girls. It's a good place to grow decent girls." Diana said. "I went to the Saint Claire Academy in town M, where I was born. I believe the branch office in city B must be very adequate."
"All right, let's enroll the girl at Saint Claire Academy."
"Well, I don't want this little girl to serve me. It doesn't seem quite right… " Diana said with a sigh.
"You are the future Lady Dunkelheit. You must have someone serving by your side always. Imagine that, who ridiculous. People will say that the Dunkelheit family is getting poor when the Lady of the family walks around without the company of a maid or escort." Said Alexander coldly.
"The master is right. Lady, it is not appropriate that the Lady of the Dunkelheit family does not have a servant next door. It would be seen as an unpleasant joke. Or that you do not have the actual status of Lady Dunkelheit." Commented Butler Jones.
Diana sighed bitterly and shook her head accepting her fate of not having as much privacy as she likes.
"Let's take Luna to pick some things and buy the material for school." Said Diana apathetically.
"All right, Lady, I will take the child." offered the butler.
"You don't have to. I want to take this girl myself. We need to talk, don't we?" Diana thought.
After the blunt dinner, Diana went to Alexander's chambers with him while the others went to their chambers.
Alexander gently embraced the indifferent, quiet little woman.
"I know you're angry, but it's all for your sake and your safety." Said the man drawing circles on his snow-white skin.
"You know, sometimes I think I'm too apathetic. I don't mind letting you make the decisions. I'm fine just going your way."
"That's one of the reasons I like you the most. Rebelliousness is never pleasant. And you are far from apathetic. At least not when I'm touching you and that's the important part. You may be apathetic and indifferent to everyone, except when you are with me. I don't care. I even like it. It leaves no margins for others to approach."
"Honestly, I think we need to slow down."
"I believe we're going too slow. You are not married and pregnant yet. This is too slow in my eyes."
"Have you ever thought I might not want to get married? That I may not like this relationship?"
"If you don't like it, say it and let's talk. I'm not totally dictatorial, I can give in where I have to give. And can you really think that it's not a good idea to marry me? I have and am all that you need. Do not think of nonsense."
Diana sighed bitterly. She really doesn't understand herself.
She enjoys Alexander's company but sometimes feels like a bird in a cage.
It is true that she rarely argues with him for anything, since she always feels that it is tiring and will not win the argument or simply thinks that following what he says is the best option to avoid fatigue. She doesn't have to take responsibility for anything, but sometimes she feels a huge emptiness.
Maybe she's just a puppet in Alexander's hands. A person who does not have to worry or opine for anything.
"It seems to him that I just need to smile beautifully, dress beautifully and maybe in the not too distant future he also want me to spread my legs beautifully. For now, he still has some respect for me, but until when?" Diana thought, feeling suffocated.
