Capítulo 16: The Unexpected Twist
The next few days were comparatively eventless and by the fifth day all the relatives who came for the wedding left.
Since Nishant and Sushant were transparent to each other , the husband wife facade was coolly dropped and Sushant ordered to prepare a second bedroom craftily. To any unsuspecting soul, the bedroom looked like a study with a small bed to crush down and Sushant being an Author, late night working or crushing down in the study not only looked normal but seemed like a basic necessity.
Even Tara started getting her own priorities set as she started receiving reply from various Universities where she had applied for Research based work after returning from London. On one hand INPP started showing interest in her as a youth face and on the other the interview offers made her think whether INPP was worth anything.
It was a lazy Saturday afternoon and Tara was reading peacefully in her room while checking her phone for INPP updates and pings from her friends.
She barely noticed when Sushant slipped in and started moving in and out of the walk in closet.
It was only when she heard his voice that her trance like state was broken.
" You know what Chowdhury, you should atleast be alert enough to know when people are entering your room. I thought you are aware that its decent to cover those thunder thighs when people are around"
Tara looked up with annoyance, mentally looking for a good comeback. But the sight made her breathe hitch.
Sushant was standing topless in a tight fitted Jeans and although he was no filmstar, he was well maintained and had a sharp intellectual charm that reminded Tara over and again how attracted she had been to this man for the past six years. Oblivious to her states, Sushant continued changing his Tshirt and Tara felt her cheeks burning as she gawked at him shamelessly.
May be it was her stare, may be it was her silence. But Sushant stopped whatever he was doing and turned to her.
" Why the fuck are you looking at me like that Chowdhury? You know well I am not that into you. Dont you?"
OUCH, THAT HURTS, thought Tara.
But somehow her mind and tongue were not much in sync that day and even before she could stop herself she blurted out,
" So what? I wanna see more of Sexy Saxena.
You have a hot body and I like this free show"
The moment she spoke, Tara wanted to slap herself. Damn it, this is cheap and unlady likely.
However, the words had completely weird effect on Sushant. Fangirls cheered for him, hooted on him, even tried to touch him whenever they got chance. But for the first time in life he realized the words gave him sensations at all the right places and even without thinking he dived on the bed aiming for Tara's uncovered legs.
In shock Tara herself ducked the attack and Sushant fall flat on his face after knocking his head on the backrest.
" Chowdhury .... you bitch..."
The next few minutes went in a blur and when Sushant finally got hold of Tara, both were panting in exhaustion....
" Chowdhury, you surely know how to make a man wild" , muttered Sushant while catching his breath.
Tara smirked.
So, this is what turns him on, she thought as Sushant patted her head gently and planted a kiss on top of her head.
" Perhaps we are not that hopeless Chowdhury", smiled Sushant and drew her close to his chest.
Tara started smiling, things looked good.
Just then the door flung open and Nishant rushed in even without bothering to knock....
DAMN YOUR ROMANCE BHAI, CHECK THE SOCIAL MEDIA.... ALL HELL HAS BROKEN LOSE.
As Sushant and Tara both rushed to the tab Nishant was holding, a simple sentence from Sushant stopped her midway,
" How the fuck they came to know about the murder? I thought you are the only person who knew what I did to that bitch....."
Tara slowly stepped back to find her ground.
She didn't even wanted to look at whatever was there in the news.
She just heard the worst possible confession from Sushant Saxena.
That damn psycho was a murderer!!!!
