Capítulo 6: Professor Aizel 1

Professor Aizel sensed individuals entering his room, yet he remained unfazed. Aware of the stringent security measures in place, he recognized that those entering without permission were likely family or friends. Such intrusions were not uncommon, and so long as they did not disrupt his work, he paid them little mind.

Though the visitors may have held official or higher-ranking positions, he paid them no heed, focusing instead on his hologram model. Engrossed in his work, he could not afford any distractions; he was on the brink of a discovery that could reshape the world.

Every scientist had their own temperaments, so Adril didn't mind Professor Aizel's attitude.

Jayden sighed. 'When he realizes he's sitting up Lord Adril, I don't know how he'll react,' he thought.

Professor Aizel remained fully focused on his work, murmuring and calculating as he went along. His AI pet, Luna, assisted him with the complex numerical calculations, and together they worked tirelessly the whole time.

As time passed, Professor Aizel seemed to have made a breakthrough. Excitement and happiness lit up his face as he continued his work, even as the sky darkened outside.

"Huuu…"

After a long while, he exhaled deeply.

"Oh…!"

"You guys are still here? I thought you would have left by now," he broke the silence.

"Haha…"

"Aizel…! I didn't expect you to become this skinny. I should have brought some skinny pants as a gift," Jayden walked towards him and gave him a big hug.

"Oh…"

"Look who's here, a Grizzly bear?" Aizel joked while hugging back his old friend.

Aizel and Jayden were old pals since high school. Aizel was a genius nerd, while Jayden was a strong boy with leadership qualities. They were an odd couple in high school.

Jayden was an open-minded person who accepted everyone as a friend. He was the type of person who would always stand up for his friends, regardless of the situation.

Aizel, on the other hand, was a typical nerd who was extremely smart and had a very high IQ. He was exceptionally intelligent for his age, making it difficult for him to find real friends. Jayden was the only one in his class who was mature enough to understand his feelings. They hit it off right from the start when they met at a camping trip, and they became close friends ever since, often hanging out together.

"Cough...!"

"I know you guys like to be affectionate, but we're here for important matters," Brayden interjected, reminding the two of the seriousness of the situation.

The two exchanged awkward glances.

"Who wants to cuddle with this fat grizzly bear! And who are you to judge?" Professor Aizel retorted, his face clouded with anger as he looked around and realized that the people present were neither his friends nor family.

"It was just a joke. My name is Brayden! We came here with that 'fat grizzly bear,'" Brayden quipped, giving a wink to Jayden.

Jayden was on the verge of losing his temper.

"Alright, enough with your silly jokes," Adril intervened, waving his hand to halt any further banter. He then turned to Professor Aizel. "Hello, Professor Aizel, I'm Adril. We've crossed paths several times before, I believe. We're here for important matters, and I hope you can assist us." Adril extended his hand for a handshake.

Professor Aizel's mouth fell open in disbelief when he saw Lord Adril's face.

'Are you kidding me? That's Lord Adril!' Professor Aizel's thoughts screamed.

They had indeed met a few times during demonstrations hosted by the scientific community to showcase some of the most advanced technologies. While Lord Adril didn't attend all of these demonstrations, he made appearances at significant breakthroughs in science and technology.

"My Lord!" Professor Aizel exclaimed, his voice filled with apologies and tremors as he shook Lord Adril's hand. He was sweating profusely, realizing the gravity of the situation.

As he glanced around, he recognized the faces of other high-ranking members of humanity: Field Marshal Brayden, Marshal of the Air Force, Colton, Admiral of the Fleet, Jayden, and Nolan, Lord Adril's trusted advisor. These individuals held immense power, capable of commanding billions of soldiers with a mere gesture.

He couldn't help but feel a mix of flattery and intimidation at Lord Adril's unexpected visit. After all, Lord Adril was essentially the ruler of the entire human race.

Reflecting on his own status, Professor Aizel knew he held no real power or authority. Despite being a renowned scientist, all he could do was offer advice and publish research papers. In the grand scheme of things, he was just one among millions of scientists across the planets.

He had immense respect for Lord Adril Ryde, who had united humanity and prioritized science and technology, leading to widespread prosperity and progress for all. Aizel understood the significance of Lord Adril's leadership and contributions to humanity's advancement.

"How does it feel? Are you starstruck after meeting your idol?" Jayden teased, chuckling heartily as he gave Professor Aizel's shoulders a friendly pat. Professor Aizel's face flushed with embarrassment, finding himself in an uncomfortable position. He couldn't deny the jest without risking his dignity and composure.

The others smiled, amused by their playful banter and camaraderie.

"Enough with the jokes, let's get down to business," Adril said solemnly.

"First and foremost, we should get Professor Aizel something to eat. He must be hungry since he's been stuck in this room all day, and I'm sure you gentlemen must be hungry as well, right?" Adril glanced at the trio, whose stomachs were audibly grumbling at the mention of food.

"Yes, Lord," Brayden was the first to happily comply.

"Lord is wise," Nolan nodded in agreement.

An empty stomach can disrupt focus and concentration, causing distractions as thoughts drift to food. Professor Aizel was truly delighted at the prospect of sharing a meal with Lord Adril – it was an experience he would cherish for a lifetime.

In just a few minutes, the dining table was laden with delectable dishes, showcasing a variety of flavors and ingredients sourced from different planets. Nolan had swiftly ordered and arranged the dishes, utilizing rare and unique ingredients within 10 minutes.

As laughter filled the dining room, everyone indulged in the hearty meal. Brayden's jovial banter added to the ambiance, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The three commanders displayed hearty appetites, chomping down on the food with gusto. Their respect for food was evident, stemming from their experiences as soldiers.

To attain their positions, they had navigated through numerous challenges and perils while exploring new and unfamiliar planets. From storms capable of devastation to encounters with formidable native species, their exploration missions were fraught with danger and uncertainty. Not every mission had yielded success.

In certain circumstances, they endured days without sustenance, scavenging for any edible food they could find, often encountering meals that were unappetizing and revolting. The most challenging times were when they had nothing to eat for days on end.

"Nolan!" Adril inquired, his gaze fixed on Nolan, who was methodically slicing his steak.

"Yes, Lord! I've made arrangements for the soldiers outside," Nolan responded calmly, indicating that their meals had been prepared prior to the dinner.

Professor Aizel couldn't help but be impressed by Nolan's meticulousness. He seemed to have accounted for every detail without faltering, a quality that inspired a hint of envy in Aizel as he observed Lord Adril's capable assistant.

With dinner concluded and everyone's appetite sated, Adril rose from his seat. "Now, let's convene for our discussions."

"This way, Lord," Professor Aizel exclaimed, leading the group to the meeting room. Everyone followed in his wake, eager to delve into the matters at hand.
