(RHIO)
Jasmin has fallen asleep.
But I'm left awake fearing for her safety.
She's been exposed to the public.
"I'm sorry Jasmin," I whispered while combing her hair with my fingers. "I love you."
I wished I was an ordinary person with all the freedom to wander the earth without being spotted in the limelight.
I closed my eyes and my own version of a vision of the future started to surge in.
I fell asleep.
"Rhio. I'm happy that you were able to get back soon," Jasminsmiled without looking at me. She placed the freshly cooked hotpot at the center of the wooden table, "I've already prepared dinner."
Then she looked at me, "You're soaked. You'll catch a cold."
The rain was still heavy outside and the pitter patter of raindrops was loud against the house's corrugated metal roofing.
She helped me remove my wet jacket and ruffled my hair with a towel. After drying me up, she kissed my cheek.
