"If Dad didn't place so much trust in me, you wouldn't have trusted me. Am I right?" Eddie spoke out her mind.
"That...", the lady was at loss for words.
"Leave it", Eddie brushed away her tears as she stood up, "Our work will go on as if nothing happened."
The staff nodded and exited the room one by one. After that, Eddie was again slipped down on her and her tears slid down her eyes like a waterfall.

Amnesty International, Main Branch
Senior Adley was seating in his office with his hands on both his cheeks. In short, he was in a thinking posture. Daniel was sitting facing him on the opposite chair.
"Dad?" Daniel called him, "You have to trust Eddie."
"I know", Senior Adley let out a deep grunt, "But the board of directors are not willing to listen. Initially, they were happy with its progress for the past few years."
"I understand, Dad."
"May I come in?" a voice was heard from the dor. The father-son duo turned their heads at the same time. Senior Adley smiled with relief when he saw his wife standing on the doorway, "Come in." Daniel moved his head away with a deep sigh. After sensing his unease, the woman sighed heavily before pushing the door open.
"Senior", the woman spoke wheezily, "Eddie called just now. She said that she has evidence of who stole her designs and prompted Jeremy to say such things."
"Then?" Senior Adley sat up straight and Daniel followed suit, "What are you waiting for? Release those evidence."
Daniel nodded. The woman spoke, "I told them already but Alice stopped her from doing so. She said that we should keep the enemies hanging."
Daniel nodded again when he understood the psychology behind Alice's words. Senior Adley nodded and smiled, "That child is gifted just like you."
Hearing that, the woman gave a start before leaving the room.
It is just that when your enemies sense no movements from your side, they try to check on what you are up to. In that way, you make them restless and fear starts growing in their hearts. Because they think that either you have found a solution for solving the problem or you have seen through their trick.
"So?" Daniel flashed a smile to his Dad.
"We are done!" Senior Adley gave him a thumbs up.

Eddie's office
Alice entered the room so that she could comfort Eddie. Her waist-length hair swayed gently in the air. To her surprise, she found that Eddie was smiling instead of crying. She knew that Eddie was a crybaby!
"Eddie?"
"Hmm?" She kept smiling as she tied her bob cut hair with a rubber band, "Wassup?"
"What's wrong with you?" Alice thought that Eddie had a mental breakdown due to such pressures!
Hmm, we're hittin' 100 soon. Any requests on bonus chapters?
