Capítulo 4: Jaida

"Malik stop trippin man. I didn't steal none of his money. You and the gang already into it so why would I put that on you man?" Malik who is Jaida's close friend turned his head and shook it. "You're right, I don't know what I was thinking. You wouldn't get me into anymore trouble with Prophet. Being in this gang, we gotta stick together sis." Malik hugged Jaida and walked out of her apartment. Malik and Jaida grew up in Deanwood. Deanwood was one of the hoods that were too dangerous to live in without protection. Everyone knew that Deanwood was run by the Crips. Prophet was the leader. Nobody crossed him and lived. One day, Malik's parents happened to get into the middle of an open shoot out and they both died. Malik wanted to get back at Prophet because he believes that he killed them intentionally. The night that his parents died he met with Jaida. They are best friends. They are so close that they sleep with each other but still happen to remain friends. Jaida thinks that Malik is gaining feelings for her and she isn't entirely wrong. The night his parents died, Malik was so destroyed that he drank until he couldn't drink anymore. Jaida also needed consolidation and they found that in each other. Malik hadn't worn a condom when they hooked up and they both weren't being careful either. About a month since Malik's parents died, Jaida started to have morning sickness, and cravings. She decided she was going to take a pregnancy test. "Damn, what am I going to do" Jaida whispered to herself lightly. If Jaida is pregnant, the gang will protect her. The gang may seem heartless, but they take care of each other. They're a family. Keeping Jaida safe would be one of the gangs main focuses. Jaida doesn't speak to her parents. Once she joined the gang, her parents kicked her out and told her not to come back until she was out. Everyone knows that you can't leave a gang. The only way out is death. That obviously wasn't going to be on her options table. Jaida didn't know how she was going to tell Malik. What if he didn't want a family with her? Who cares, Jaida was going to make him stick around. *picks up phone* "Hey Malik, let's talk..,"
