Capítulo 8: Unexpected Guest
Skylar had been following Richards rules. She found most of them ridiculous. Just because he saw her wandering around the house on the first day, he accused her of wanting to steal from him. She couldn't wait to send in her resignation letter but in the meantime, she was looking for job vacancies.
She was glad to keep her distance from him because she still felt a little embarrassed whenever she remembered the awkward moment when she fell on him and how the pervert had invaded her privacy. In a way, she was subconsciously hiding from him.
The only time she saw Richard was when she took his food to him. He spent a lot of his time in his study. Sometimes he went to his actual office, sometimes, she saw him wearing a suit with pyjamas pants for video meetings, which looked really funny. Skylar found out that he looked really hot in a suit.
She had just finished cooking when the bell rang, she turned off the stove and went to the door. Richard hardly had any visitors except for the delivery people or his overzealous assistant. Skylar opened the door only to see a lady who was covered in more makeup than a clown, her strong perfume smelled like alcohol and and her clothes were so glittery like that of a stripper.
Skylar frowned at her appearance, she could not imagine the ever arrogant Richard knowing such a person.
"Who are you please and how may I help you?" Skylar asked. The lady looked at her up and down and said "I'm Richards girlfriend, excuse me." She pushed Skylar aside and walked into the house as her 7 inches heel clacked across the living room.
She stopped suddenly, sniffed the air and turned towards the kitchen while Skylar closed the door and was heading to the study to get Richard.
"You're cooking for my man? who do you think you are? you're one of those cheap sluts who would do anything for money aren't you?" The lady shouted, turning to face Skylar who stopped on her tracks.
"You poorly made plastic doll didn't just call me a slut now, did you?"
"And what if I did? What are you going to do about it huh? You have no chance with Richard, I can smell your poverty all over this house."
"Oh no, I think that's the stench of the stupidity that's oozing out of your__"
"What is all the noise about?" Richard shouted. They were so engrossed in their argument that they didn't hear him come in.
"Oh Richie bear, I missed you so much. Now I'm here, you can tell this one to leave and I'll cook for you," The lady said throwing her arms around Richard.
"I know she's your girlfriend and I didn't mean to talk to her that way, it was only because she had insulted me. I'm sorry" Skylar gave him an apology for sake of her job but her eyes were shooting daggers at the lady.
Richard peeled the lady's hands away from him, looked her in the eyes and said; "Firstly, Anita is not my girlfriend, never was, never will be. Secondly, my name is Mr Wilson to you, not Richie bear and lastly and most importantly, leave my house and never come back!"
Skylar was shocked at the turn of events. She had never seen Richard that angry, not even when she gave him the extra spicy pizza. The stone cold look on his face was enough to make anyone run for the hills. She wondered what their history was as she watched the drama unfold.
"Silly you, always pretending in front of others. You need to get over your hate for PDA. Now why don't we go to your room so I can take care of you like I used to." Anita suggested, running her fingers over his shirt.
'hmph Public Display of Affection in such a private place? Take a hint and leave, so much shamelessness in one human.' Skylar thought to herself.
"If you dare lay those nasty fingers of yours on me again, I'll have them broken joint by joint," Richard threatened.
Anita frowned, "Is it because of this riff Raff you're doing all this? what does she have that I don't? why can't you open your eyes and see that she's only after your money!" she whined.
"You know, you're right Anita, she's only after my money and she has every right to be because she's my employee, but you know what she has that you lack? integrity, self respect, moral consciousness, and dress sense."
