Now the scene involves himself. He's now the highlight of the nightmare. And his father.
He's now again caught between the two boulders which was caused by the Shaman's Talisman to grind against each other.
They lured him towards this very cave and trapped him between these two boulders, unable to escape because the talisman's power was as great as his own strength.
As he struggles on his own he also sees again and again how his father, Don Sancho also suffered from their hands. The grieving father of Maliya brutally plucked the poor man's eyes.
They were lead to be the sacrificial lambs for Datu Dimakulem's wrath for his daughter's death. King Alfonso did not hesitate to hand over Bernardo to them upon his arrival and even offered the man's father to be over their palm.
Carpio's allies arrived at the cave to rescue him, but they were blocked from the cave by a series of cave snakes that killed several of them. This is also a living nightmare for Bernardo because he sees how his friends, his dear loyal and faithful friends, are brutally murdered before his eyes and he can't do anything about this.
"Ahhhhh!" a loud melancholic but thunderous cry reverberated throughout the mountain ranges and caused not just a stir but also the ground to shake violently... and the scene shattered like a broken glass.
The man sitting on the cushioned sofa in the middle of the room full of hanging books slowly opened his eyes but with overtly painful expression, as if he went from battle instead of waking up from a dream.
The book on his chest is not there anymore. The special cabinet with no books inside of it is again locked from the inside.
No one can ever imagine how this special functioned customized book can bring desires but also provide you with your deepest and darkest nightmares when forced to be opened but closed without finishing every page.
Tadeo found himself in gloomy aura and found himself in a coughing fit. When this is a physical battle, he sure is vomiting blood now. He isn't vomiting blood, but the pain is the same.
He painstakingly stood up and reached for the door frame. He glanced at an old fresco painting hanged in the revolting door...
And he cried his silent tears.

As you see, I'm planning to mix and match some of the Legend and Literature of the Philippines in my novel but let me emphasize how I'm twisting most of its stories so maybe you can check out the versions provided in the Internet to be sure, the real versions studied in Literature Class I mean.
But yeah the names are the same, but I did omit characters so I'm bound to apologize.
