Capítulo 20: Big Mistake

For weeks she practice after school and learned more and more about ancient laws and binding contracts. Marcus never left her mind not once. One day she was walking to class and noticed Marcus Harper standing in front of Valerie Meadows locker. "Marcus what are you doing here? " Destiny demanded to know. "I'm sorry I don't communicate with witches." Marcus said mockingly. Destiny heart was racing and it felt like she was getting stabbed over and over again. "Why don't you go back to your brothel witch?" Valerie Meadows also mocked. Destiny was lost. What was happening? Was she going to wake up soon? She begged herself to snap awake as tears started to fall down her cheek. Marcus for only mere seconds lost composure and said it was a big mistake even saying anything to a witch. A big mistake is the last thing she wanted to hear. She needed him more than ever. Maybe he would wake her up and tell her it was just a bad dream. He wouldn't be holding that undeserved vampire's hand and have hers in his. She could only watch them laugh and walk away. She didn't even notice him turned around for a mere second to show his sadness. Judy saw it all and came to Destiny rescue. "I heard he was told to come home or there would be big trouble for his family. The council found him and said if he didn't go back to his vampire life as nothing happened they would find his mother and kill her once and for all." Judy exclaimed. "So he and Valarie are..... a..... couple?" Destiny stuttered. "Yes they are. Marcus didn't want you to know but knew it wouldn't be kept secret. I'm really sorry. He is just trying to protect his family." Judy tightly hugged Destiny knowing she might collapse. "I'm just a big mistake." Destiny cried so hard she decided to skip school and had Judy take her home.
