Capítulo 87: Consumer
The group surrounds the great monster giving it everything they have but the beast quickly heals almost as fast as they can deal damage to it. they are barely containing it as it is and the thing seems to be becoming more aware of its situation as whatever the doctor is doing from the inside is showing that he may be slowly taking control of its actions.
to the side the greatly injured werewolf silvian is recovering but still a little in shock at ehat had transpired yet she seemed to come to her senses to call out "this monster is the doctors greatest work that he spent many years to help it form into what you see now! i was there when it was first created and at its centre is a heart like brain that controls the whole thing! i think the doctor has gone inside to highjack that core in order to put it under his control, the only way to stop it is to destroy that central organ or the creature will just keep rebuilding itself especially after elease became a part of it!"
with this said she turned tail and fled from this nightmare of a building to go rejoin her pack and put as much distance as she could from this place. her words echo'd in the heads of the four who remained locked in battle with this thing of horrendous proportions.
tral got an idea from this though, with his third eye he scoured the beasts body before locking onto a large bundle of energy where a lot of the current flowed through. right next to it seemed to be a strange machine that seemed to be operating on it.
"i think i found the core but i need to be able to reach it! as it is now undead can you do that thing you did in the tower on it to open a path for me elysia?" tral asked hoping for a good answer.
elysia thought about it "i should be able to purify some of it but there is a lot of very powerful material in there and i don't know if i have enough energy to power my technic to penetrate enough of it to make it to the central area."
at this point gè míng leaped down towards elysia, he couldn't talk be he simply touched his chest causing his hand to glow with qi before placing it on elysia's back. elysia was stunned for a moment before laughing "this kid has some techniques of his own, his qi is extremely pure and he can convert it for my use! hopefully it will be enough."
they got into position by tral which left the beast much less pressure so that it could counter attack much more fiercely. darick was trying to do his best on his own to chop bits off but felt left out at yhis point "this is getting hairy guys anything i can do while you put all our lives on the line for this one attack?"
tral quickly responded "damn it darick forget attacking the thing, you have the most important job of protecting us by dealing with its arms that come to stop us! we need you here with us or it will just slap us out of the way while we go in for the kill!"
darick laughs with renewed energy at this plan "i like the sound of that, if you need someone to do some heavy de-limbing then me and jessy got you covered till you reach this brutes body!" he yells out passionately as he charges over to them sending his ax on ahead to sever the end of a tentacle which was reaching for them with its many arms.
once together the four prepared for the final charge putting all they had left into the gambit to end this monster for good. elysia with the help of gè míng gathered energy into a glowing rune that he held in front of his hand with great intensity.
tral focused his mind on his target with in his body to point the way for the others, his vampiric qi ready to unleash a precise blow that would sever the flow of energy wherever it passed. the group charged forward with darick at the lead to beat back all obstacles with his ax flying around them for support. he stepped aside just when they neared the body to cover their flanks while elysia stepped up to slam his hand and the radiant rune into one of the great eyes.
the rune sunk into the flesh of the beast as it's light started to spread through the wicked body causing sections of it to suck into itself to break down into dust. this went fairly deep into the massive being but already it began to heal in this hole from the sides.
tral took this opportunity to dive into the beasts body through this wound as he ran towards the core at the center. the flesh felt threatened by the sudden intrusion but also hungry as it grew to wrap around his legs although before it could get a grip an ax flew in to sever it's tendrils so that they wouldn't slow tral down as he neared the source.
electrified metal cables protruded from the flesh to bind him after that last attempt failed but tral had gotten close enough that he ignored their assault. his mind concentrated only on the core just out of his reach as he unleashed a scissoring strike with his blades that focused all his remaining qi to bisect the heart of the beast. his energy left his weapons to go forth and devour the great massive of energy that surrounded it to power it's way through the monsters center and exploded just after it ripped through its target.
the force of the blast sent tral flying out of the hole as the creature trembled all over until it collapsed from inside to fall back into the pit from whence it came. the rest of the party slummed on the floor in utter exhaustion. a cable still wrapped around tral's leg that led back into the pit.
