"Okay, Julie. Be safe and guard the home. Contact me if anything happens." She hung up the phone and turned to Leo. "We may have a problem. Julie said that they are hunters in the area. If she had said a hunter, I could just brush it under the rug, but she said, hunters as in plural. Leo, do you know anything?" Her expression was dark.
Leo had followed her out of bed and listened to what she said. As soon as she mentioned the possibility of there being other hunters in the area, he pulled out his phone. He clicked on the hunter icon and logged into the application. He typed in the coordinates for the hotel he was in. "There's a hunt for a Vampire in the area. It's being hunted by Will, who will also be staying here at this hotel. Shit. There's a high chance he'll come to my room. After all, we work in the same field. Will it be too hard for you to transform?" He had a frown on his face, and his personal phone rang. He looked down at the display and answered the phone. "Hello, Will."
"Hey, Leo! Did you find her? I know that was the whole reason you took a week off. I'm heading back to the hotel for dinner. If you found Kitty, you should bring her, and we can all dine at the restaurant in the hotel together." The cheerful voice replied back.
"Will I did indeed find her." He looked over at Kitty. He looked at her and watched her nod her head yes to eating together. "We'll meet you for dinner in roughly an hour." Leo hung up the phone. "Are you sure that you can handle this? I don't want the two of you to be harmed." He had a dark expression on his face.
She walked up to Leo and hugged him. "I can keep the transformation up for a meal. Besides, if we don't meet your friend, he'll start to suspect that something is amiss. If it gets to be too much, I can just act really tired, and we can come back to the room. I'm sure that in my current condition, he'll understand." She smiled at him. "You got me an hour to get my powers under control. That helps a lot, thanks, Leo." She leaned her head on his chest. Slowly reigning in her powers, making her ears and tail slowly fade. "Leo." She says as her vision goes black.
He catches her as she leans into him more. He picks her up and carries her to the couch. Her head was placed on his lap. 'It's remarkable how her ears and tail just disappear as if they never existed. I'm forcing her to do something that she will struggle with. Why did a hunt have to happen here?' He could see her softly breathing in out like she was napping peacefully. He ran his hand through her hair, and with his other hand, he flipped through his hunter book.
She woke up and looked into Leo's eyes. "I'm ready. My powers are contained for at least the next two, maybe if we are lucky, three hours. How long was I out for?" She smiled sweetly at him, and her green-blue eyes sparkled.
"You were out for almost the whole hour. That will be more than enough time for us to have dinner with Will. We need to get dressed before he shows up at the door." He helped her sit up, and they went to the bedroom. He opened his closet and pulled out two different sweaters; one was a pale blue colour, and the other was black. He handed the blue one to her, and he pulled the black one over his head. After that, he pulled out his sweater he opened a different drawer. He pulled a pair of black sweats and gave them to her. "I hope these will do. I need you to be kept warm." He pulled out a pair of jeans for himself and put them on.
Kitty took the sweater and pants to the bed. She sat down and tried the pants and then put the sweater on. "They'll do. The sweater is really soft but, I can't imagine you wearing this colour." She ran her hands through her hair for a quick brush. Her hands laid on her belly as she smiled. 'Could it be that he prepared these clothes for me?'
Leo looks away, embarrassed. "I bought that sweater for you without thinking. I brought it with me, hoping that I could see you wear it. I wear mostly black, so you are right by saying that I wouldn't normally wear that colour." As they were chatting in the bedroom, the doorbell rang. "I'll go let him in." He leaned down and kissed the top of her head. He left and answered the door. "Will it's good to see you." He said as he gave a quick, friendly hug and back pat. "Don't be too shocked when you see Kitty. She's in a bit of a delicate state." Leo glanced at the bedroom door.
Kitty was shocked to hear him actually admit that he had bought this sweater just for her. She smiled and watched him leave the room. After he left, she got up at went to the bathroom and then came out of the bedroom. "Leo, I'm not so fragile that I would break from just from being pregnant." She walked up behind Leo and peeked out to see who Will was. "You're Sam's fiancé!" She shot a glare at Leo. "I should've put two and two together. Sorry, I am a little shocked."
"It's good to see you again, Kitty. Sam said you were moving to live with some distant relatives, but she never mentioned where you would be moving to. This guy was so frantic." He tapped Leo on the shoulder.
