Capítulo 2: Chapter 2 : Changing Schools
Amy tried to argue with her mother a lot but failed to convince her so she finally gave in. She was always pampered by her parents as she was their only child but she too had to give in to some of their requests. The final exams were at the door and when her friends heard that she would be leaving the school next year they too got depressed until Tia could not take the gloomy mood and said "hey what are you guys so sad about? It's not like that she is dying or anything she's just changing schools so why are you all so sad. Let's take this as a chance to make some memorable moments that can last us until we meet next time." The two of them nodded and smiled at Tia. Amy remembered that Tia always had the upbeat and bubbly character, the reason she became one of her best friends. Jenna was more of a reserved type but always went with their flow and followed all their plans. She may not seem so but she was a fun type and always came up with new ideas for fun. When she remembered the way they grew up she could not help but get sad . As she was thinking this Jenna waved her hand in front of her face and said "What are you zoning out for?" Amy shook her head and smiled "no- nothing .... so what's the plan?"
The girls spent the whole time together and organized parties, went karaoke, picnics etc. a lot until the exams. After the exams were over they went shopping and other places like zoos, parks everyday. The results were out and it was time for Amy to move to Snevill city. She packed all her stuff and closed the door. She had a nostalgic feeling in her heart and she knew that she was going to miss her days in her apartment. Four years she had stayed in this apartment and now she had to leave it. She took a deep breath and walked towards the door. It was still early winter morning so she was wearing a black jeans with brown boots thick overcoat and a light orange woolen scarf around her neck. Her hair was let loose and flowed freely behind her in the winter air. The cold air touched her fair smooth skin and made her shiver. Tia and Jenna were waiting for her by the gate along with some of her friends. "Hey don't forget us okay" said jenna with a smile while just nodded. "And find someone who will stay with for more than three months okay?" teased May. All of them laughed at this and after another brief round of farewell Amy got in the car as her friends shouted "Ammmy, call us when you reach there." "Don't miss us too much okay." "Bye Amy." She just smiled as she watched them waving there hands furiously at her and watch them disappear in the horizon. She watched the familiar roads and malls passby as she reached the outskirts of the city she wryly smiled and mumbled"Goodbye everyone till we meet again." The scenery changed to fields and forest as she watched them passby while she listened to some music. Snevill city was quite far away which took eight hours of journey by car. Unknowingly she soon started to feel drowsy and soon fell asleep.
