Capítulo 3: The Cloak

I leaped, I hit my head, "Ay!", "Que demonios!", I hit my head so hard I started to speak Spanish. I punched myself, "OUCH!" I returned to english. The truck was probably going 180 mph in a 25 mph street. "Augh!" a kid in the bed of the truck bent backwards and snapped his own spine.BANG! Blood sprayed all over the group, the kid was shot! A cloaked figure landed on the roof of the truck, he pulled out a M1911 and handed it to me. "What am I supposed to do with this?" I questioned the mysterious figure, "Shoot them, you idiot!" They said in a clearly fake deep voice. I hadn't noticed that the horde was chasing us and they were gaining on us, I aimed, took a deep breath...BANG! I fired, the recoil slammed the gun into my forehead. It hurt like hell but I continued aiming and firing, I slowly got better at handling the gun. The cloaked figure and I slowly picked off the crazy people, they had human bodies but they didn't look human ; they looked like zombies. We were able to escape the horde and we arrived at a skating rink that was more like a warehouse. As we arrived, I noticed that the cloaked figure also wore a mask, "Who are you and why are you wearing such a bizarre outfit?" I asked them. "You can call me La Capa, and I wear this cloak to protect my identity. As you know its the Apocalypse."
