Phillip was flabbergasted by her words. Never in a million years would he have thought that she wanted to end this relationship. Before speaking, he thinks carefully of how to keep her. All his anger, from before, dissipated. "Chloe, what exactly are you talking about? We are together because we care about one another." Phillip let out a large sigh and continued. "How about we head home. get some sleep and talk about this later?" "Phillip, there is not much to talk about, but I am tired." Chloe closes down the shop and heads home with Phillip.
Outside her shop sits a black, tented car across the street. Inside the back seat is a tall man with deep penetrating eyes. Observing Chloe and Phillip come out of the cafe together. "That must be her boyfriend. Find out everything you can on him. I don't like him."
"Yes, Mr. Hughes." His assistant looked at him a little confused. "Speak Ryan or I will have to fix the wholes you are burning into my head."
"Mr. Hughes, Why did you give that lady my name and not yours?" "Ryan we have been around each other for 15 years now. I think you have earned the right to call me Brian. The reason behind it is because I want her to know me, not Brian Hughes, but the real me. I caught a glimpse of her at the cemetery while visiting mom. I have never wanted to get to know a woman like this before." Brian smiles, admiring the girl he just met. In all his 35 years, he has never met a woman quite like her, except for his mother. She was also headstrong, beautiful, intelligent and one of a kind. "Let's go, Ryan, I believe she will come to her senses, sooner or later. Let's go home."
...
Phillip drove Chloe home in a silent car. All you could hear was the sound of the heater blowing. Chloe was staring out the window again trying to get her thoughts together. However, her thoughts kept filling of the mysterious man, Ryan. She kept remembering how he made her feel the closer he got. Usually, she can resist a man's charm, but he was different.
The car almost reached Chloe's house when Phillip's phone went off. He had received a text message. It was from Sally.
'I'm sorry we were fighting. I shouldn't have said the things I did. If you still want to come over, you can. I'll be waiting.'
Chloe looks at Phillip and breaks the silence. " Who was that?" " It was work. They want me to come in tonight an important account needs to be reviewed. So I'm going to drop you off and head over."
Chloe started to think about what Ryan suggested 'I hope he treats you like a princess.' At this thought, she realized Phillip didn't treat her as he should. He was always making excuses for why he couldn't spend time with her. She looked angry thinking about everything she had been through with Phillip. Finding herself wishing Ryan was beside her and not Phillip. Then she laughs and pushes the thought out of her mind. She must be crazy she had only just met this man earlier tonight. It's unbelievable how much he has caused her to question her self. Once they arrived at Chloe's, She stepped out of the car turns to Phillip before closing the door, giving him a look of knowing.
"I know your cheating. I can't prove it, but I know." She shut the door and took two steps before Phillip exited the car in a hurry, stumbling to catch up with her. "I'm not cheating on you. It is work. If you loved me, you would believe me. I'm telling the truth" Phillip grabs Chloe turning her around so she can believe the mask he is wearing just for her. "Chloe I love you." He plants a rough, revolting kiss upon her lips. Usually, she wouldn't feel this way. However, today she felt like she wanted to puke. As she shoved him away, she felt bad for how she felt and looked at him with disdain in her eyes. "I believe you. I'm sorry." In reality, she didn't believe him. She saw the message earlier on his phone. She just couldn't see who it was from. She just wanted the kiss to end so she could run to take a shower in bleach.
