Capítulo 10: Chapter 10: Crushed
After the small dispute earlier, we wet back to our respective places, and as if nothing has happened, noel started to trudge upstairs towards his study room while I followed him like a lost puppy.
"Nolan....won't you come eat dinner with me? You haven't had your-"
"I am working" He spat coldly then.
I was rudely cut off by his words again. Though it happened to me for a lot of times, it still pains me whenever I would be cut off by his cold frigid tone and gaze.
He secludes himself once again in his study room, isolating me once again into this big spacious house.
"I thought...."
I could only release a sad bitter smile as the familiar ache tug me in my chest again.
I really thought something would change, but I guess it's just my wishful thinking.
....
Days passed as the usual routine of me waking up early to prepare his suit and breakfast while he showers. Taking a long time in the bathroom, I used it to my fullest potential and cook him a variety of food, his favorites.
After creating the mood, I was startled when I saw him with his suit on.
With a suitcase behind him.
He was talking in his phone, another businessman or his partner maybe. I was unclear about the events in his company. I was too coped out in this house, and I never really tried to ask him in fear of getting him more trouble.
"Fine....I'll be there"
He didn't even see me when he suddenly walks out and reaches for the door knob. He was about to do that when I caught his warm big palm and tug him.
"Nolan? Where.....where are you going?"
"Business trip"
I don't know if I would smile because this is one of the rare times when he would reply to my question and at the same time, cry due to his reason.
"But you didn't even eat" I reasoned out a pathetic one.
But who could blame me?
I just wanted to be with him, just eat a causal breakfast with him being by my side would make me happy.
"It's no the right time to throw a tantrum Eiri. I'm leaving and I'll come back in three days"
I was left hanging into the door, watching him as he opened his car and turned the ignition. Then suddenly, his eyes dart towards me, I could feel myself shaking from the intensity of his eyes so I turned around and go back inside.
Totally missing the slight reluctance on Nolan's eyes before it dissipated.
