Capítulo 24: First Night Back
(Luna's POV)
By the time we got back, everybody was already asleep. I went with Athena to her room. She took a shower and got dressed in her pj's.
I was tucking her in to bed when she asked "Mommy can you sing me a song?" I chuckled a little and nodded. I sat next to her laying body and started to sing a part of a song from the Book of Life called I love you too much.

By the time I finished singing, I see that Athena is sleeping so I get up and kiss her forehead. I turn around and see Jacob quickly putting his phone away and smiling at me. I blushed a little bit and quickly went to the room and changed. I laid down and sleep took over me real quick.
I woke up in the middle of the night and literally could not go back to sleep. I sat up from the bed and saw that Jacob was sound asleep on the couch. He honestly looks really cute when he's sleeping.
Since I wasn't able to go back to sleep, I got out of the bed and went downstairs to the kitchen. I searched the freezer and found my favorite ice cream, Crème Brûlèe flavored. And yes it does exist. I instantly grabbed it out of the freezer, grabbed a spoon and put on the table.
As soon as the taste of the ice cream hits my mouth and felt it melt in my mouth, I nearly died. It tasted so good. I was eating the ice cream for a couple of minutes when something felt weird.
I slowly stopped eating when I felt like someone was behind me. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder and reacted quickly. I grabbed that person's wrist, twisted it and flipped them over my shoulder and they landed on the floor.
I was kind of scared, but that was until a heard a groan coming from the floor. The groan I heard was from Jacob. I reacted so fast and ran to him.
"Oh my God dude. Are you okay? What the hell is wrong with you scaring me like that." I said to him trying to help him up. "Remind me never to do that again." he said to me kind of chuckling in pain. He is finally up from the ground and I notice he is shirtless again. 'Oh come on dude. Wtf.' I thought to myself.
"What are you doing up so late?" he asks as he sits down and grabs my spoon and starts eating my ice cream. 'Bruh' I thought. "I woke up and I couldn't go back to sleep so I came down here to eat ice cream until you scared me." I said as I grabbed the spoon from his hand.
I sat on the table and started to eat my ice cream again and he got up from his chair and went near me. "Why are you up?" I asked and he replied "I got up to go to the bathroom and I saw you weren't in bed so I came looking for you and I found you here. Unfortunately I got attacked trying to approach you." "Well it wasn't my fault. You shouldnt have snuck up behind me."
He nodded in agreement and started to laugh. I began to giggle with him. It took us a while to stop, but eventually we did.
Once we stopped, I put another spoonful of ice cream in my mouth. Apparently I had some ice cream on the side of my lip. Jacob was giggling and he tried to get me to notice the ice cream on my face, but I didn't understand him. He turned my face towards his and cleaned off the ice cream with his index finger.
He didn't turn away though. Instead he just stayed there staring at me and I stared back at him. I was easily getting drawn in by his eyes. He looked down at my lips and I looked at him. It's been four years since I last kissed him and I had the urge to kiss him again.
Our heads moved closer and finally our lips touched. It was a nice soft yet passionate kiss. He put his arm around my waist pulling closer and deepening the kiss. The thing was that if I didn't stop right now, then it would be going farther and I didn't want that. I wanted to take it slow so I know I can trust him again.
I slowly pushed him away catching my breath. "I think I should go to bed" I said and before he could reply I got up and walked back to the room. I laid back down on the bed. I touched my lip and felt sad that I was missing his lips on mine. Thinking about this, I eventually doze off to sleep.
