Capítulo 36: Let the Games Begin
The day of the internal-student ranking began and Izzy was feeling jittery. She walked behind Weigela who had a spring in her step and even had an aura that attracted some of the male gazes.
They walked into a large structure it was a series of five mini amphitheatres. Where students would compete with one another.
Izzy and Weigela walked amongst the crowds and heard people snicker and laugh. As they took their seat which was situated on the far end. Izzy and Weigela were stopped by a student in a blue uniform. He had a suave look about him and of course, came off as incredibly arrogant.
" Hey there ladies," he said giving both Weigela and Izzy a once over look. His attention was mostly drawn to Weigela and he tried to get closer to her.
Weigela moved back.
" What do you want?"
Her harsh tone made the guy frown.
He looked offended that Weigela wasn't smiling or giving him the attention he wanted. Instead, she looked at him as if he were a fly, that was annoying her.
" You low-ranked orange students sure do have a lot of confidence these days. But it's okay since I like you", he bent forward his breath against Weigela's ear.
" I'll make an exception," he whispered.
The entire action made Izzy shiver.
It was such a creepy thing for him to do and she noticed his hand coming out from behind, to touch Weigela.
Izzy immediately moved to grab his hand. As she grabbed it the boy cried out, she twisted his hand with more force than she thought and heard a light *crack*.
" Argh! You b****!" he yelled.
Weigela looked down at Izzy who looked satisfied. Weigela chuckled and then snapping her a gust of wind sacked the boy from behind. Izzy let go and stepped aside as he tumbled down the stairs.
They watched as he grabbed onto the rails steadying himself.
" I'm going to kill you!-"
" Students!"
A loud voice rang out.
" Please take your seats. The event is about to take place".
The boy glared at the two girls vowing to get them back for the humiliation he had suffered. Some of the other students who saw what had happened snickered at the boy.
Most of them hadn't stepped in because first of all the boy was higher ranked, so no matter what he did they would let him be. But they hadn't expected him to receive such a slap in the face, from two low-ranked girls.
This was unexpected but also satisfying watch. The students loved to watch those who used their power against others, suffer.
On the main platform, a tall elderly man stood. He wore a golden room and emitted a calming but dominating aura.
"That is elder Cley, he is one of the academy's founders," Weigela whispered to Izzy who nodded.
" Welcome to the annual thirtieth Class ranking wars. I trust all of you are excited?"
The students cheered.
Elder Cley enjoyed their show of enthusiasm.
" Today some of you will fight and win, and some will lose. But of course, there are some of you who will exceed expectation and perhaps become inner-disciples of the academy".
At the mention of inner-disciples, some students eyes glimmered with determination. It seemed everyone wanted to be an inner-disciple.
"I advise you all to try your best and fight with all you've got."
" Now, let the battle's begin".
The crowd roared and the green and blue students cheered whilst everyone in the orange section had grim expressions. Except for Weigela who cheered along, earning her looks from the other orange ranked students.
Izzy was the only one who knew why Weigela was so excited and so, she too cheered alongside her.
