Capítulo 7: Cat videos are qual-kitty ent-purr-tainment
Jia Xinyue sat next to the wall of screens. She sighed and flopped onto the ground in disappointment.
"Who even designed this stupid system?!" She cursed whoever made the system to go through hell and back.
Meanwhile…
Wang Feng, who was now busy playing games at his own leisure, sneezed again.
"F*CK!" He cursed as he watched the health bar of everyone drain.
As his character died, he slammed his fists on the table.
Dozens of messages appeared on the side of the darkened screen.
[Dude, what happened?]
[Our Boss actually made a mistake 5555]
[Ahhhh we're gonna looooose]
If only if he hadn't sneezed and lost his concentration! Maybe… they would've won that teamfight! But that was just wishful thinking.
Jia Xinyue really didn't know what to do. There were just too many blue screens plus, they weren't organized in any particular order. On one screen it would be about flora and fauna on Ross 128B, and on another it would be a recipe on how to cook pancakes!
[Honestly, this looks worse then the amount of tabs I have on my phone]

Jia Xinyue sneakily dragged the pancake screen onto the list of screens trailing behind her.
[I…swear I'll need this someday…]
"System 57!" A voice sounded out from behind Jia Xinyue.
"System 57 my ass! Since when was I called System 57?" Jia Xinyue yelled.
She furrowed her brows and crossed her arms as she turned around to glare at Kian.
"Uh… Well… That's like… you know…what you told me last time…" Kian mumbled, his voice trailed off as he wringed his hands.
Jia Xinyue froze.
[Oh. Right. About that.]
Just as she opened her mouth to speak, Kian suddenly cut in-
"So then… what would you like to be called?" He asked, tilting his head as he looked on at Jia Xinyue with eyes of innocence and curiosity.
Jia Xinyue felt like her heart was being squeezed. He was so adorable! How could someone be so adorable? She wanted to squish his cheeks and pat his fluffy head and squish him-
You know when you see something so cute that you want to kill it because it's just… too cute?
Yeah, Jia Xinyue was feeling a little bit murderous today.
"You can call me Big Sis for now." She said, before finally giving in to the temptation and squishing Kian's mochi cheeks.
Once again, she forgot that Kian still thought she was an A.I! Later on, when questioned, Jia Xinyue blamed it on Kian's squishable cheeks and fluffy hair- they were really just too distracting!
Kian felt like he was being abused at this rate, as Jia Xinyue continued to squish his already tender cheeks. By the time she had stopped, his face had turned all flush and red from the kneading. It gave his adorable face a pink flush that made him look adorably embarrassed.
On the outside, he seemed to be pouting and stomping away from Jia Xinyue.
However, he thought carefully about her words. In particular, her wording.
Maybe he had just been overthinking it? Maybe A.I's in this world were just that smart and life-like.
"Big Sis! Look what I found over here!" He cried out to Jia Xinyue, who was busy trying to reach a screen a couple meters above her.
Of course, she wasn't that tall. Jia Xinyue's solution, which made Kian face palm, was to scale the other blue screens, seeing as they were all tangible matter despite looking holographic.
The line of screens continued to hover ominously near Jia Xinyue, almost as if… it was protecting her? Kian narrowed his eyes.
[I think this A.I thinks she's a human.]
Maybe something went wrong over the many years she was alone, and she ended up deluding herself into thinking that she was human.
After all, isn't that the end goal of most sentient machines in movies? To become human, or to get rid of humans. It's always one or the other.
Suddenly, Jia Xinyue lost her footing and fell. Kian rushed to catch her, but obviously he wouldn't make it in time, and could only watch as she fell.
However, just before she hit the ground, the screens that hovered behind her caught her safely. They slowly lowered her to the ground and slid out from underneath her once they touched the floor.
[Interesting.]
"Wow. That was close!" Jia Xinyue said with her hand on her chest, breathing deeply.
"I guess these screens do have another use other then making a wall."
She got up from the ground and walked over to where Kian was.
"Yeah? What's up?" She asked, peering over the screens in front of them.
"Why'd you call me?"
Kian shook himself out of his reverie. He bit his lip and took a step forward, pointing at a certain window.
"I thought this would be useful."
Jia Xinyue took a look at the window.
"Hey… this is pretty good! It's got all the basic information for the body we got sent to!" She said cheerfully, before patting Kian's head.
She quickly made arrangements for it to follow right next to her left shoulder, before heading back to where she was before. Once again, she attempted to climb the wall.
Kian stared at her as she continued to climb. Every time she touched him her hand was warm. It was...nice.
What really was the difference from a human and an A.I like her? She seemed to possess a soul of her own, and she showed emotions just like any other person would do. Kian felt conflicted.
"Oh yeah, Kian. Shouldn't you be heading back into your body?" Jia Xinyue shouted from above, "Someone will notice something's wrong, you know."
Kian shook his head.
"Lan Wei's bedridden. He's sick. It hurts a lot when I go in…" He said, tearing up at the end.
Jia Xinyue's eyes softened.
"It's okay. We can try to find a cure and you'll have to endure it, but it'll be better soon." She said, before jumping down.
What she didn't expect was that instead of her feet landing on the hard ground, it landed on a windows instead. The windows that followed her had turned into something resembling a staircase?
Shrugging, Jia Xinyue walked down without a second thought, bringing with her the window she had her eye on.
Kian was interested in what kind of information it would contain for her to climb 3-4 different windows to get to. He walked over to where Jia Xinyue was a looked over her shoulder.
It was a windows filled with cat videos!
Jia Xinyue spent all this energy to find a windows about cat videos?!
When Jia Xinyue saw Kian's reaction she got defensive.
"You can go out. I can't. This is quality entertainment, okay?" She snapped, crossing her arms.
Kian: [... I honestly have no words to say….]
